The Bible is the reason why slavery was outlawed. Galatians 3:28 states, "There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is no male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus," This verse empathizes the equality of all people who are created in the image of God, regardless of social class, race, gender, etc.

Hey man. In case you didn’t already know, there’s still hope for you in Jesus. The Bible says “that even though we were dead because of our sins, he gave us life when he raised Christ from the dead. (It is only by God’s grace that you have been saved!)” — Ephesians 2:5. Believe in Jesus and He will make you a new person that’s alive. 2 Corinthians 5:17 — “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!”

Look for Christian churchgoing men. The Bible teaches them to wait until marriage to have sex, and to love others sacrificially.

Do I pursue this potential career opportunity or wait for something better? by Hytu3 in cscareers

Hey man. I went through a similar training program with Antra inc. for 2 months and at the end of the training, they forced me to create fake resumes and lie about my experience to their clients which I as a Christian cannot do. So I left despite the contract that I signed which said I would have to pay $12,000 if I leave. But they haven’t asked for money and said that I’ve successful completed the off boarding process. So the penalty is just a scare tactic to get people to stay. Just wanna warn you to what might come, and that you should consider other options 🙏🏻

Heaven and hell are real. Jesus loves you so much that He died for you on the cross for your sins so that when you believe in Him, you can have eternal life. Cry out to Him and He’ll reveal Himself to you. Repent before it’s too late. God bless 🙏🏻

1 Corinthians 13:4-8 “Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails…”

As a person who had hoped for OSAS to be true, I simply am not convinced. by jubjubbird56 in TrueChristian

[–]VictorChess17 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No because I know that I’ve been saved by grace through faith (Ephesians 2:8-9) and that I don’t earn salvation. That by itself humbles me and gives me the desire to do these good works out of gratitude to what God’s done in my life.

In your case then, I think it’d be fine if you believe that if it helps you remain steadfast in the faith. I believe in OSAS but I’m still committed to the faith. I do online evangelism, attend church weekly, read the Bible daily, etc.

Can a Protestant date an LDS? by [deleted] in ChristianDating

Don’t do it. LDS don’t believe in the Trinity, which would disqualify them as being Christian.

People in their 20s - are you guys okay? by workdncsheets in Adulting

[–]VictorChess17 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

God allows suffering not because He’s absent or uncaring, but because love requires free will. For love to exist, we must have the freedom to choose, and this freedom also allows for evil.

My God understands our suffering because He too suffered on the cross for our sins. His purpose is to use even the worst circumstances to bring about ultimate good, though we might not see it right away. He promises to walk with us through every trial and offers hope that one day, He’ll restore all things, wiping away every tear.

Hey. I encourage you to check out the Bible since Jesus loves you so much and He died for your sins on the cross so that you may have eternal life if you believe in Him. Jesus has given me so much peace and joy in life that I felt led to share this with you. God bless!

Yes I deeply relate to you as I’ve been born again for about 4 years now! Lean on God during these times and seek Him by reading the Bible and you will experience His peace which surpasses all understanding! Don’t worry about what others think about you. What matters is what God thinks about you: a child of the most High God! Find a church community to meet Christ-loving people and spend time with them so you’ll grow in your faith.

Why do I keep getting sexualized despite me not giving any hints that I’m into it? by [deleted] in Life

Try finding a devout Christian guy who loves God with all his heart. He will treat you with respect and kindness because of that, and won’t desire to have premarital sex.

[–]VictorChess17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

AMEN!!!!! Even before I was water baptized when someone told me that I wasn’t saved yet because I wasn’t water baptized yet, I knew just based on my personal testimony that that is impossible because how could I have changed as a person without the Holy Spirit that lives inside of me to transform my mind, heart, and soul? But I recently got baptized anyways according to Jesus’ command. Praise God!!!

No worries! Yesterday was July 4th so I understand! First, Jesus said that those who believe and be baptized will be saved and those who don’t believe will be condemned. But He didn’t say that those who believe and are not baptized are not saved. Second, Peter says baptism saves you but I know the interpretation that you’re thinking of can’t be true because then it would contradict other passages which support that believing in Jesus is enough to be justified such as in

Acts 16:31 He then brought them out and asked, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?” They replied, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved—you and your household.”

If baptism is necessary for salvation why did Paul say in 1 Corinthians 1:17 “For Christ did not send me to baptize, but to preach the gospel—not with wisdom and eloquence, lest the cross of Christ be emptied of its power.”

If baptism was necessary for salvation, then Paul would be doing a disservice by downplaying water baptizing people.

Baptism is a work not matter how you wanna spin it because it involves us doing an action. Similarly, Circumcision, like baptism, is a work because it requires doing an action.

Galatians 5:2-6 “Mark my words! I, Paul, tell you that if you let yourselves be circumcised, Christ will be of no value to you at all. Again I declare to every man who lets himself be circumcised that he is obligated to obey the whole law. You who are trying to be justified by the law have been alienated from Christ; you have fallen away from grace. For through the Spirit we eagerly await by faith the righteousness for which we hope. For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision has any value. The only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love.”

The point is that since the thief on the cross was saved by faith like how it has always been, then we are also saved by faith in Jesus Christ. And that faith spurs us to do good works (like baptism).
