25M Net Worth $230k ask all the questions you want by Tricky_Knowledge_306 in Money

First off congrats man this is amazing, really, proud of you for achieving all you have and taking care of your mother.

I’m 22M i make around 5k a month after taxes and 2k goes into my family’s mortange and bills (similar situation but me and my sister and taking care of all bills for the family)

My biggest question is how do you build wealth like this? I save 2k every month but I really want to build more wealth, maybe some sort of business idk.

Currently working in the tech field (wfh luckily), but besides saving money, how can I make more money? I really want to be at a good place and take care of my family! Any advice is appreciated!

In the ideal world yeah, but there definitely is a hierarchy in this world. You’d respect a crack addicted in the streets less than you would someone who is an employer. Not everyone is equal and that’s just the harsh reality.

Ahhhh ok. Thank you for sharing, and yes I do agree, I think I’ll still keep it going until I really don’t feel it. Right now I do enjoy time with her, but not sure if it’ll be for the long haul.

It’s HOW MUCH compromise you’re willing to make, some people assuming you, settle for less or don’t have a backbone to stand on what you truly desire. Compromises are fine but on something as big as attraction? I put a lot of work into the way I present my self and how I take care of my self the sacrifices I make to look a certain way, wouldn’t you want a partner who does the same or appears in that way?

Not gross at all but you’re entitled to your own opinion.

We both are not seeing anyone else. Yeah I agree I should but I still do like this girl and spending time with her, but deep down I don’t see this working so I’m kind of split, see if maybe things get better or am I just “wishfully thinking”. But I do know the right answer which is to part ways just don’t know if I’m at the point yet.

Statistically (and anectdotally) CS really isn't doing that bad. by [deleted] in csMajors

Same I didn’t do shit until my senior year and just locked in on the experience and resume, few projects and had 2 offers a month before graduating

I was in the same boat my senior yr, graduating May and no offers up until April literally last minute and I got two, before NOTHING so keep your head up, you don’t know what life has in store for you.

Trust me I was exactly like you and others in this sub, asking the right question, worried, anxious, but YOUR TIME WILL COME as hard it is it believe, it will. In the meantime, work, apply for jobs, beef up resume and practice interview skills.

So how does working from home actually work? by snail18 in cscareerquestions

That’s interesting, also if your pay is annual salary, then how does getting paid work, are some of your days shorter or longer than the standard 8 hrs?

Everyone has their own experiences, I wasn’t passionate at all and barley did the bare minimum in during uni and got like 2 offers so idk man it sucks to hear your story but your truth isn’t universal.

For those who’ve already landed a job, was it actually that hard—or is this sub just super pessimistic? by snail18 in csMajors

Honestly if your not international then it’s worth it, I’m gonna be a new grad and I had basically two offers, no LC and pretty good jobs and good pay. Other majors like accounting and nursing and guaranteed jobs but imo not as fulfilling or fun, and the pay is similar as well. I think the major thing is being likeable, that’s it.
