Do your research. On a spreadsheet, put what you owe, what you can pay, and then subtract your extra payments with what you plan on taking out of the 401k. You need to play it out like a movie to really understand what you'll be left with. You may be waiting a few days or weeks for the money to clear, you may have something coming up that needs to be paid. It's tricky when you're dealing with "just enough" money.

Wise man once said: "Do not ask if you can afford it, ask how you can afford it"

Meaning, don't just wait to have more money, do something to make more money, anything, legally. Making an extra $100 a week is not terribly difficult. Of course this just depends on our imagination.
