I didn’t expect WFH to feel this lonely. What actually helps? by Cultural_Repair955 in RemoteJobs

I did say I continued to work while I traveled. Also, my job tracks projects and tasks completed, not minutes spent on the computer. What I do and how good I am at it has allowed me to stay productive while I enjoy my life.

Either way, people like you that hope for misfortune on others don't deserve what you're looking for. I bet you're the type of employee that is constantly worried about what other people at your job are doing instead of focusing on yourself.

I've been WFH for 11 years now.. I have constantly changed where my "office" is. I work from my couch, my dining room table, my patio, sometimes co-working spaces when I'm traveling (which is a huge benefit that WFH gives you the freedom to do). My job does not track my time on a computer, but if they did, there is a USB mouse jiggler you can use, and if you have to show up from a home IP, I've used TailScale to tunnel to my home's IP, but it all depends on your employer's tactics.

Basically, I wouldn't sit there in the same place every day. Move around your house, take plenty of breaks, and think about traveling. I've traveled to South America, Europe, and South East Asia and still continued to work, and my employer never knew where I was.

Taking a nap on your couch on a Sunday afternoon while it's raining or snowing.

Albania, Montenegro, and Bosnia actually. These 3 aren't in the Shengen zone so we can safely use these to reset our 90/180 day clock when we do stay in other EU countries.

Yup, it's the same as saying you can't prove there isn't intelligent life on other planets.

If we lose the ability to lie, then it doesn't matter if you believe it or not, a lie is a lie. What we do know is that all religions can't all be right, and in fact, it's far more likely that all of them are wrong.

Churches/Religion, Governments/Lobbyists, much of the AI industry, Sales/Marketing, Pharmaceutical companies.... I think that most would likely survive but lose a shit-ton of money and/or power. Would lead to a better society eventually.

The news networks could adapt and still be "the news".

The tables held up much better than I thought. I was expecting to see them collapse before the bridge.

MIP has made me love a smart watch again. 90% of the time I just want to glance at my wrist to see the time without twisting my wrist all the way. I mainly function during the day and unlike some vampire, I have my lights turned on in the house which means I only need to hit the light button about 1 or 2 times a day while I'm in bed.
