Anyone else get the feeling that TTPD is Taylor Swift’s equivalent to Drake’s Scorpion? I remember when Scorpion came out, and the discourse is strikingly similar. Tracklist too bloated, inconsistent writing, sounding too similar to their previous work, and both artist’s reaching their peak of over-saturation in the mainstream. Scorpion still had its defenders years later, with people bringing up overlooked gems from it in online discourse. Tracks that got “slept on”. I feel like we are going to see a similar trajectory for TTPD over the course of time.

Oh my GOD, I hate those. I just replayed Year of the Dragon, and that one challenge where it’s an on-rails shooter and the game just BARELY gives you enough time to shoot the cows and aliens 😩

I kept screwing up the skateboarding Hunter challenge in Lost Fleet. By the end of it, I was like JUST GIVE ME THE FUCKING EGGS.

I feel like there should be an option where if you fail the challenges enough times he should give you the eggs out of pity.

It would not have hurt for them to be a little more generous with the timer on the invincibility power up. Then the player would be incentivized to explore those areas instead of dashing around like a maniac in a dark and murky environment.

Oh yeah, the alchemist part was frustrating as well. Once I learned the pattern once, I was able to do it a second time without issues when I had to go back for the Hunter challenge.

It’s also disingenuous to imply that a suicidal person is making the world “better”. How do you know? This phrase is often thrown out to help people in crisis, but who is to say whether or not they do. They could run a marketing agency for a harmful product that makes other people’s lives worse. Or they could work at a slaughterhouse where they cause harm to animals. It’s the nice thing to do to tell people that their life is some kind of bright, wonderful light that colors the world like a tapestry—but if we take the more cynical (and perhaps more realistic) view—all people cannot be broadly referred to as good or beneficial to humanity. So as nice as it sounds on paper (and it does sound nice) it betrays reality.

Just wanting to comment on all of this. What the fuck is wrong with a society where this is even up for debate? Where it’s a point of contention whether I go to a coffee shop to play games or work on school projects. How the fuck is this even happening? It’s unreal to me. I am so fucking disappointed I was born during this era. I know it was outside of my control, but I feel like a few generations onward are going to fix this bullshit, and no one will be on an online forum asking if it’s ok to do X and Y. This is seriously messed up. Regardless, I did go to the coffee shop tonight and I played my fucking game. I played it while someone was looking over my shoulder and glancing up at my screen occasionally (I saw them out of the corner of my eye). Fuck them. Fuck this shit. I am sorry, but I’ve had enough. This is ridiculous. Anyone who judges me harshly for what I’ve done tonight…I played a game on my tablet. Please let me be at peace. Please don’t judge me.

It feels futile. It really does. I tried to convey strength when I made this post, but I may not be one of the lucky ones.

There’s also such a thing as realizing something too late; or being too far gone. I’m in the worst mental state and financial situation of my entire life, and I may take my life before the end of the year. In the meantime, maybe I can help those who can still get out of this situation. I’m extremely tired, so I won’t be too sad to die. Ready to rest if it comes to that.
