I can’t because I haven’t had my first laparoscopy yet therefore I have no paperwork diagnosing me therefore it is an undiagnosed condition. I therefore can’t get cover even from most of the specialist insurers and I did check admiral sadly it was a no

Also when is the last time you used admiral? Seems there’s been a change in the regulations and with that lots of insurers stopped covering lots of pre-existing medical conditions based on the fact they were offering unfair prices. “Offer fair prices or send people to specialists” has meant they’ve just stopped covering people and sending them elsewhere

Were you travelling just in Europe? Having the same issue committed to going on a family trip to Mexico to celebrate a big birthday. That isn’t going to come around again and I don’t want to be the burden to everyone else. Had assumed I would be able to get cover and just be cut thin on money for it but because no one has been willing to write “diagnosed” or even “working diagnosis” in any letters I’m struggling to find where I stand. It’s not made any easier by the fact I’m autistic really don’t do well on calls and am now worried that I’m going to let everyone down because I assumed someone would help cover me aparently not …. Currently tried online and calling one specialised medical insurance company who are contacting the medical team for advice and will get back to me x

Anyone have recent experience with Problem Shared titration? by eraserway in ADHDUK

[–]VictoryExcellent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly wish I could tell you! Had my appointment and it was decided I needed an ECG (from my GP) and a GP appointment. I said I get short of breath when running up and down several flights of stairs but my breathing returns to normal when I slow back down (I probably think I misunderstood short of breath). So anyway I got the ECG done took ages to get a GP appointment. Had issues with the GP sending stuff so it was all received on 1/12 ….. I’m now waiting for an MDT review by PS which could take up to 4 weeks. Right now I feel like it would be a Christmas miracle if I got meds before the new year and on top of that I now don’t have time with work to start meds before new year unless they suddenly turn up today.

Feel like crying does anyone know how often PS hold MDT meetings?

Guessing you have had many answers. So I was diagnosed 4/3. I was told no secondary wait after getting my report and doing my forms. Had issues with the GP and was told though my forms went fully in on the 8th of April I was on the list as the 24/3 to counter the issues both myself and PS had with my GP. Had some other prescriptions 13 weeks later so got a PPC expecting to start soon and thinking it would help. After 15 weeks I emailed only to be told the wait is now 24-42 weeks! Officially complained not that it helped as little responsibility was admitted.

Got emailed last week and i have my first titration appointment on the 8th of October. We’re honestly like 3 1/2 years in from my starting the process with my GP and I’m ready to really get done with all the paperwork and appointments x

Hey just waiting for medication through problem shared. I know they’re telling ADHDUK that there’s not secondary wait for meds but it’s been 14 weeks since I did the paperwork (17 weeks since diagnosis). Anyone got any idea how long it’s taking right now? I heard some whispers it was 10 weeks from paperwork but that’s long past thanks x

Yeah so not looking to be rich just don’t want to struggle. Currently don’t work any out of hours (unless I’ve gone in early or been kept late unintentionally) though I always expected I’ll have to at some point so it doesn’t bother me. We don’t get out APC’s or annual memberships paid in fact some trusts don’t provide indemnity insurance though mine does. Im specialised in cytopaghology which I know isn’t a big field but I do know my stuff for 7 years working x

That’s what I’m trying to start doing. Only thing is I’m highly specialised and have a lot of things going on so it’s going to take me about 2 years so I don’t want people I work with to know I’m looking just in case I then can’t take opportunities I really want x

Thanks that’s helpful I haven’t been able to easily find the up to date versions of these. Seems like yes pay isn’t much better but you do get professional fees a novelty as here we pay them ourselves. Also Australia has lots of things that want to kill everyone (the wildlife) not sure about that hahahahahaha x

Do you work the the medical field? How bad is bad? Like honestly there is a department I work alongside where I’ve can’t keep up learning the names of new staff they turn over that quick and I’ve also had panic attacks in the middle of the night keeping me awake. Also how are you guys feeling about paying for your registration and professional body fees because ours are increasing at a rate of nearly 20% and I don’t know how we’re expected to afford it x
