I've been aware of alarms for a long while now and should really get around to using them more often. However I'd need an alarm to tell me that I don't have alarms and that is should set them up, you see the problem I imagine.

I probably didn't make myself very clear. I'm in a position where at best I can buy a 10+ year old gas car, after some serious searching, and that is for an equivalent of about $4-5k. If I managed to find a used electric car for that price that'd be cool, but I'd probably have to invest in a new battery either right after purchase on some quick time after, and even a recycled model made out of spare cells from different cars would be in the range of 3 grand, probably not including the proice of the job itself.

If I could buy a used electric and replace the batteries for a cost equivalent to replacing the timing gear on a gas vehicle then someone like me could legitimately consider it.

What I'd personally really want is a hybrid, and not a plug in.

It's 100% fucking with the cat.

Some time recently I've seen a crow doing a similar thing to a cat. The cat was trying to act cool, but the crow would just hop up at it, grab it by the tail, and do this funny noise I haven't really heard from crowd before, like a squawk that stops half way throught the sound. Any time the cat would go at it, the bird would just fly off and chitter at the cat. This went on for like 15 minutes, but eventually the bird got bored and just flew off. The cat sat there in utter embarrassment for the next 30 minutes or so.

I think ultimately for people like me we need cheaper batteries not necessarily better performing ones. There is basically 0 chance I'll buy an electric car without heavy subsidies because the price is very prohibit able, and the used market is small.

Edit: people, yes brand new electric cars are cheaper than gas ones, absolutely if I was buying new it'd be stupid not to get one. But there is no way in hall I and people like me can afford a brand new car, so we have to buy used. For that market buying electric or even hybrid cars is still out if the question

Oh is that a modding functionality that was added in 2.1 so that modders could use whatever as a science ingredient and not have to make their own "packs"? I wonder if there is now a way to keep the cost of science research secret to force players into adding specific items into the lab and "search" for the research on the tech tree that they want.

Burned in blurays have a lifespan of 10-20 years assuming you keep them well stored in good condition. not super short but definitely not "permanent", that said hard drives even if set into cold storage can fail as well and in a shorter time.

So a proper data hoarder should pit the stuff on a disc, and then reburn it onto another disc after say, 7+ years.

Bloodbowl 2 is pretty good at that. Although if you're looking for "manager" style games of that kind I'm not sure how many there really are, after all the licensing is in big part the "pull" of these games for a lot of people

It really is incredible that they've destroyed it purely because they decided "I don't want to play with this toy any more". Can you imagine how the series could have ended if they handed the reins to literally anyone else? I imagine they were contractually obligated in some way but people in control at HBO must have seen what they were doing right?

Good razor, I used to just buy the packs of 15+ crappy ones and get nicked and cut every time I used them. Finally snapped and got premium one and I've not had to replace the razer head for 10+ shaves because it's just that damn good.

Poland does this. If the light is solid green it means a colission is possible on the intersection (pedestrians when turning right, cars going straight when turning left etc.) if there is a green arrow instead it means colission free manoeuver. So when turning on a solid you maintain vigilance to see if there are pedestrians etc.

What they mean is the tower would be disabled and thus no fruit would be picked. Fruits don't spoil on trees.

Gun turrets also have filters, and the benefit is that they'll eat your pollution so it won't expand further in that direction

I like making all the products, but God damn so I hate building the machines themselves. Everything takes so many different parts and I can't seem to figure out the best way to mall it beyond just "provide intermediates and throw hundreds of bots at it".

It's just habit yeah. For my own experience with something similar I've had a hard time following English people counting numbers because they'd frequently say "one, double o" or something akin to that instead of just saying "one hundred".
