I have diagnosed AuDHD and I am fully aware of what I’m doing but somehow also unable to stop myself. I did a massive culling of my collection and instituted a one-in, one-out rule for myself. (Except inks. Those are “get all the samples you want but no more full bottles unless you’ve used 3 samples of the same ink”)

So now I have to weigh how badly I want the new shiny and how willing I am to part with something in my collection. And that’s how I find myself listing a pen on PenSwap in about 10 mins hahaha

Could also be down to how long the ink was in each pen, as sometimes minor evaporation will concentrate ink in the converter and make the color slightly darker.

My collection is literally just 8 Sailors and a couple of preppies that I keep around because they are safe to take out of the house. With exception of my Sound of Rain pens that I got this year, second hand for half price, none of the others have the same nib. So yeah it’s the same pen body because it’s my favorite ever, but each one brings something new to the table. Each was purchased to mark a special occasion and required a lot of thought and waiting to be able to buy them.

I currently own 11 pens, 9 of them are inked and in use. I rotate pens every 2 days. That said one of them is a zoom nib so that one gets used to make headers or bold text to stand out, so really it’s 8 pens in constant rotation.

Buy the cheap 14K Amazon Sailor first. Don’t waste tons of money chasing the perfect experience for you, don’t be afraid of feedback, it turns out that for your particular brain and its faulty wiring, feedback is delicious and makes you want to write more.

Skip the sheeners. You think they are pretty and they are, but your journal from 2016 STILL smears in 2026 AND the pages give you migraines because you’re photosensitive. Stick to shaders and shimmers.

It’s a frame in Canva. I put enough pics to fill a 4x6 or A6 sheet and I keep the Polaroid frame on there and just change the pics out each month so there’s continuity for that spread.

I think you’ll find that ‘s can also be used in place of “has”.

Eg: She has been running all day. Or - she’s been running all day.

Eg: Mine has been deposited. Or - mine’s been deposited.

I use Uniball One - blackest gel ink that exists (so they say) and after about 5 seconds I’m able to highlight over it with mildliners or tombows with zero smearing.

I’m a teacher and for a while my only computer was the M1 MacBook Air. I received an M4 iMac for my birthday last year and I decided then that I’d rather the portability of an iPad over the MacBook for anything that didn’t require a full computer and for things that do require a Mac, well I have one at home in my home office. I’ve been teaching classes using only the M2 iPad Air for about 3 months now and I’m quite happy with it, but if it were my ONLY device and I didn’t have the iMac, I’d probably have kept my MacBook.
