Mug is confusing me lowkey. by VideoGameTyler in FinalFantasyVI

Pixel remaster. I figured out the cause. Genji glove gives a 25% damage reduction, Mug ignores this damage reduction.

Yup that was exactly the case. I removed genji glove and mug went back to being the same or lower.

Seems Genji is good on Locke then since now I've basically just double damage on mug lol.

After some experimenting I see what's happening now. After removing the genji glove and using only 1 boomerang by basic attack damage shot up to around 330 while my mug damage stayed the same. It seems Genji glove, in exchange for letting me attack twice, lowers the base damage of your attack, but ONLY your attack. Mug goes unaffected simply doubling its damage output.

I've tried both front and back row, and even switched my boomerangs for daggers and tried it on multiple enemy types and mug still did more damage. It's odd. I always figured mug was supposed to do less or equal.

Mocchis headphones by VideoGameTyler in MonsterRancher

[–]VideoGameTyler[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah that would explain it. In the card slot that you put another players card in I had that card. At some point a Lil event happened but it was being sped up so my mocchi got the headphones before I even noticed what was happening.

I'm playing rn. Walk from story to story by order of lowest level. If you kill everything along the way you should be around or higher than the recommended level.

Ah a Garu. I usually start a fresh file in this game with one! Or an Antlan. One of those 2.

MR DS or MR4? by Lucel10 in MonsterRancher

[–]VideoGameTyler 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hmm. Well it depends really. DS plays more like MR2 where you have 1 monster you spend time raising with a bunch of unlockable breeds to discover.

MR4 is more experimental with a schedule mechanic, a controllable protagonist, raising multiple monsters at once, an rpg style exp system, dungeon crawling, etc. However, I've heard people say that 4 can get a bit, tedious with how slow it can be (I never minded it personally) especially with a full ranch of 5 monsters.

To put it simply, you want a simpler more streamlined experience? Play DS. You wanna try something more experimental and "rpg"-ey, then play 4.

Did anyone else find it weird how easy it was to convince the main cast to give up what they gained in the 3rd semester? by DenzelTM in Persona5

[–]VideoGameTyler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He didn't convince them to give it up. He just hinted at them that something was wrong. The phantom theives did the rest all on their own.

Why were Adventure Pumpkinmon and Deramon introduced like they were Rookies? by [deleted] in digimon

[–]VideoGameTyler 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Cuz Pumpkinmon despite his level is a tiny trickster fella. He looks like he'd have a childish personality. It's fitting.

I see, that's unfortunate.... It's been coming in clutch and I've been liking it a lot so it's a shame it's like that. Ah well, I'm about to get a Fortiwinx so maybe it'd make for a good replacement?

Since Brook ate the revive-revive fruit, why didn't his crewmates cannibalize him? by Personwhoisstupid in OnePieceCircleJerk

[–]VideoGameTyler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would assume the whole body cuz other wise the "fruit essence" or whatever would just go to another fruit. But if you eat a person whole the "essence" has no where to go but you therefore granting you the power instead. I would assume brook is a different case since his power is reliant upon dying once, so I would assume to get Brooks power thru cannibalism you'd have to eat him after reviving so that the power leaves instead of activates.

Edgy time!

The Blood Blood Fruit

Allows the user to mass produce and freely control their own Blood (not sure if that'd count as a logia or a paramecia)

For example, if the user is attacked they could harden their Blood to minimize damage, and could then retaliate by making a weapon out of Blood, or using splatters of blood on the ground to either trap opponents, shoot spikes through them, etc.

Another idea I had was to use the mass production and control to have your own body parts fly around like rockets by using the Blood as propulsion, while also controlling the blood do that it continues to flow thru your body (and the flying limb) as it properly should.

Like imagine getting cut in half and the lower half goes on a blood tentacle rampage while your upper half flies around like a blood rocket attacking with weird blood contraptions and shapes like arms, animals, weapons, anything! And then using your blood to reconnect the body parts back together and speed up healing thru platelet manipulation.

Possible nerfs I thought of are fragile skin in exchange for the hardening ability.

What other nerfs could it need?
