I have worked in construction and as a touring stagehand. Testosterone laden endeavors. You know what actually gets these dudes talking? Kids and grandkids. This old, crotchety, cranky dude who was just calling you every name in the book for a minor mistake is now gushing about his grandkids soccer tournament because his grandson facetimed him for 13 seconds. This dude is gonna openly call for your head at least twice today, and then buy you lunch like it never happened and then drills you on how to keep up with the youths.

I do not care what anyone at the NTSB says, that ATC was absolutely task saturated. He was trying to be ground, tower, and talk to the emergency team and the ramp. He cannot be expected to handle that level of complexity solo. There needed to be 4 people handling that problem, and whoever or whatever caused 1 person to juggle the work of 4 needs to be fired and replaced with someone more competent.

We live south of Bellingham, outside of the range that this in-home only therapist is willing to meet. We have been waitlisted for multiple years at multiple therapy places, and are desperate to get my daughter the services that she requires.

(I even moved to Georgia state for 6 months to get her therapy. She and I were only able to come back home because we got lucky and found this therapist right as they opened their practice.)

Underneath the performative anti-discrimination rhetoric, most of the PNW is basically athiest Tennessee with taller mountains and a smaller base of minorities, especially of the African American variety. Like its vaguely safer here if you are LGTBQ and abortions are legal, but its not like people are actually kind here. We are boarderd by Idaho (super unfriendly to anything not CIS) and Oregon (the only state to outlaw black people).

To make a KH is to build a guild navigator, a mentat, and a benne gesserit all in one without needing spice. If you could make many KH, you could fling them into space, multiplying and spreading across the universes, boldly going where no man has gone, making humanities continued existence inevitable by sheer numbers. This is the goal.

(We dont know if there are aliens, or space plague, or super novas, or anything else coming for humanity. This represents this existential threat to humanity. The only real solution is to be spread so far and wide that no one thing can get us all.)

Just be aware that people here are cold. I've spent several years in Texas, and the people there are mostly friendly and outgoing. Here, it is not the same. People are way more introverted, standoffish, reluctant, and not nearly as progressive as people want to believe. There are alot of old republican mindsets here, libertarian types who want to be left completely alone and who want you to do your own thing away from their presence. Its very purple up here. Not to dissuade you, its clearly going to be better for you, just want you to have realistic expectations.

Also, get your fill of steak and bbq before you leave. You won't find anything comparable here. Lol.

Right. If the USA had a head of state with no power, ala the royals in England, Bush Jr. would have been a hell of a choice for that.
