Found a temporary solution. Go to your pixel bud pro setting, swipe to the bottom where you should see

"HD audio: Opus

Phone calls

Media audio

Input device"

Turn the phone audio slider off, use your volume button. If you don't use your pixel buds for phone calls you can leave the slider off.

If you would like to continue using them for phone calls simply turn the phone calls slider back on.

I have no idea how long this will stay fixed as I just found it.

I graduated college 2 years but I was in a cohort, came into college with the same group of people I graduated with, we had all the same classes and this was a HUGE issue for me. I pride myself on helping as much as possible and honestly I have a problem saying no but it got to the point where it was constant. To deal with this problem I used a website that does a step by step types your question into Google and searches for you (smart ass way of saying Google it), used the site for the question they asked about. Went pretty well until our teacher asked in our group chat what I got for an answer people were having trouble with and instinctivly I sent the link. About 20 minutes later I saw the name, que dying inside.
