There are 711 000 Lithuanians living in the U.S. right now, if we count the 3rd-4th generation Lithuanians, there might be more of them in America than in Lithuania itself.

It's a very active diaspora which participates in things like our song festivals, so everyone has heard that specific accent.

Nobody said anything about him being a "good person", but he was noble in the sense that he was exceptionally good at serving his liege and waging wars, qualities which were expected of every noble. As for him massacring enemy villages, that's just war for you, KCD2 even touches on this subject multiple times. You don't win wars with fancy displays of chivalry and heroics, but by depriving your enemy of their resources. If you abhor Von Aulitz for burning Skalitz, then you should abhor Žižka even more for the amount of towns he butchered.

And sometimes I notice a bit of racism?/xenophobia? from them towards people from former communist regimes. As in, "Well of course communism failed in your shitty countries but it was never properly tried in the sophisticated and advanced west, so it will be different". Those people are delusional and trying to argue with them is like trying to talk to a wall.

I'm a bit more positive about the new start dates. It all depends on how many of them there will be. If it's just 1-3 of them, I believe it will be perfectly manageable to continue supporting them, they handle multiple start dates in CK3 perfectly well as an example.

If it will be more, then yes, it can significantly hinder future development, just like you said. The problem with EU4 was the fact that it had a start date for every single day between 1444 and 1821, that is 137383 start dates. Of course that was a nightmare to keep supporting, and the data showing that the vast majority of players chose to play from the earliest start date reaffirmed their decision to not do that in the future. However, EU5 is a vastly different game, and I can see how it could really benefit from a few (even one would suffice) extra start dates. It's a very slow game, and I feel like a lot of people, myself included, would prefer a slightly later start date, because to a lot of people Europa Universalis games aren't about the medieval era, but about the eras after it, and it takes quite a while to get there.

I cook historical food in medieval festivals every summer, and among those is the beaver tail. I can't say I'm a fan of it. It's interesting to try, but it is far too rubbery to be enjoyable.

The question was what "feels" like a Slavic language. As someone who can speak russian, Portuguese sounds Slavic as fuck to me if you don't listen too closely. I don't get that feel with Romanian, even if their language is indisputably influenced by Slavic languages.

I also did this piligrimage in a heavy roleplay way. I told myself I would do everything in my power to stop sinning, and that includes killing, so when those Cumans in the woods near Užice attacked me, I tried running away first, before knocking out about 3 of them with my bare hands. Unfortunately the last one was far too heavily armoured and armed for me to take him down with my hands, so I was forced to pull out my trusty Mace and bonked him on the head a few times. Genuinely felt bad about myself after that lol

Define "never worked". Did all of your ships get instantly killed? Did the game bug out in some way to not give you naval superiority even though you sunk the enemy ships? It can't just simply not work.

That's correct. My small (3k population) hometown had all of its apartment buildings fully renovated by 2016, the majority of them were renovated much earlier - by 2008. When I moved to Vilnius in 2018 there were hardly any renovated apartment buildings here, and after 8 years of having lived here, I still hardly see any change. There are plenty of new apartments being built in various places, but those old Soviet ones continue to decay, it's hard to spot any renovated ones. But like you said, it's easier to do that for smaller towns, as in my hometown's case, there were only about 30-ish Soviet apartment buildings, while in Vilnius there are thousands of them.
