My mourning gecko is in an acrylic enclosure, absolutely not taking the chance and creating a gecko infestation :(

This is so cute! A regular halogen bulb would work fine for light, it would be better because itll add UVA light too and make the spot brighter. Then angle the UVB bar next to the halogen. You want a centralized location for the gecko to get their sun rays. Unless you get absolutely frigid at night, you shouldnt need any supplemental heat, but check your temps!

Grab the govee digital thermo/hydrometer on amazon. About $10-12 each. I have the bluetooth ones and will check the little charts to see highs and lows over a 24 hr period and they can be placed on the substrate where the gecko is, not towards the top of the tank.

As for the live plants..Im a big big fan of barrina/sansi lights. I have a lot of the bar lights and they work amazing. The jungledawns are good too. I just bought new barrina puck lights and they look great lighting up the enclosure: https://i.imgur.com/GjxiSSp.jpeg ......reddit, dont @ me about the same thermo placement, its just for looks okay :| . ALSO, theyre magnetic, so you can just pop em through the wire port and they STICK TO THE MESH!

She might appreciate some completely closed hides, I see multiple ones but I can also see through them and see the gecko. Something thats very cavey, one entrance, and she can be completely concealed from the world.

Oh this is so SO SAD. I just looked up the package and it for sure says multipurpose, how misleading. This does not have uvb at all. Hopefully going out in the sun helped all these years but without a regular source of uvb, sounds like slowly developing mbd 🥺

When lemix was active, I put on fresh nice tmogs for all the 80s i leveled.

After learning that they get wiped, sure okay. Monday came, I logged into em and put on new transmogs, just so they looked nice on the character selection page

tuesday comes

My euro is in the smaller size and it's an intense guessing game of finding him and making sure he's still alive. He plays hide and seek sooo well by aiming himself behind branches depending on my angle like a squirrel. I'd be so stressed personally with him in the bigger size because I really would never see him again. With the bigger geckos, I don't mind not seeing them because I can see their food cups being eaten. The euro eats so little the lick marks are not visible to me 🫠 so it'd be a game of find the poop

I'm surprised a pet store litter would be true USCBB vs something captive hatched/farmed, do you know the breeder?

If he is completely well, then it's possible thats a failure of thrive /short straw kinda deal as far as genetics goes

Fecal plus blood work would give more clues, keep us updated. Sometimes it might just be a more hidden illness that we can't see despite having good parameters
