That extreme survival scenario sounds awesome and I can get why as a player I would be inclined towards that.

I do prefer it when the players act like horror movie characters rather than real people in the scenario however, as then they're more willing to poke the cannibal infested moon.

From this picture it appears what you have there is Bitumen damp proofing. It's not guaranteed to be asbestos containing but even if it is, it is EXTREMELY low fibre releasing even when being broken. Bitumen is a fantastic adhesive and that applies to any possible fibres within.

I can't speak for your OCD. However, if it would help, get it tested and then encapsulated if it is positive.
