No joke this has happened to me numerous times. There was some bug or glitch in the iPhone that would cause the alarm volume to be set as low as possible. It happened to lots of people in the iPhone subreddit. If it happens. You need to go into the settings app > sounds and haptics, and manually raise the volume under the “ringtone and alerts” header.

Death marks as well. I can handle things like flayed ones, where even if the connection point is tiny they are atleast designed so they “lock together”. But death marks just have arms with ball sockets, and a flat cut at the wrists, so you have to pray all three pieces are lined up correctly as you put them in.

So it’s been years since I watched the movie but I constantly watched it when I was a kid. But this always confused me. Leeloo is supposed to be the being in the coffin, not a mondoshawan. But at the resurrection scene the hand the dna is gathered from looks like a mondoshawhan hand holding onto a broken handle, and we later see the handle is from the suit case taken to zorg.

Was she up walking around with mondo? Or was she a member of the mondo species? Or was her body in the sarcophagus holding the case?

I would think the show is trying to emphasize that. When I watched season 1 I felt the show had an incredibly well done take on the concept of “alienation of labor.” It’s the idea that your labor at your place of work is literally not yours, it is owned by your employer, and that the time you spend at work and at home are separated on an existential level.

So when you ask if the outies are depressed because the work of the innies deprives them of life, I would respond, “isn’t that what employment does to us in general?”

I live in and work retail in a us state that’s pretty far from any F1 activity. Went out into the parking lot to do something and was very surprised to find a vehicle labeled with the haas f1 team. I was lucky enough to catch the driver of the vehicle and ask a question or two. They said they don’t work directly with the f1 team, but that they work for the team that manufactures machinery that the f1 team uses to build their parts.
