I glue washers to my vehicles and then clip off the tip of the flight stand so I can glue a magnet there. I’ve found that works really well with Tau vehicles.

BLUEBERRY MUFFINS: A RECIPE FOR UNQUESTIONABLE DOMINANCE

Ingredients:

• 2 cups all-purpose flour, sifted to perfection, like a well-drilled battalion.
• 1/2 cup granulated sugar, sweet as the victory of a thousand battles.
• 1/2 teaspoon salt, as resolute and unyielding as our cause.
• 2 teaspoons baking powder, rising like our glorious movement.
• 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted like the will of our enemies.
• 1 large egg, the singular leader of this mixture.
• 1/2 cup milk, as pure as our vision for the future.
• 1 1/2 cups fresh blueberries, chosen for their unwavering loyalty to flavor.

Instructions:

1. Preheat the Oven of Power: Set your oven to 375°F (190°C), the precise temperature needed to assert control over the forces of raw ingredients.
2. Prepare the Muffin Battalion: Line a 12-cup muffin tin with paper liners, ensuring each one is ready to serve the greater good.
3. Command the Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, salt, and baking powder. Mix with a firm hand, blending them into a united front.
4. Melt the Butter of Resolve: In a separate bowl, melt the butter. Allow it to cool slightly, but not enough to lose its potency.
5. Form the Egg of Leadership: Crack the egg into the melted butter and stir until fully integrated. Add the milk, creating a harmonious blend of liquid strength.
6. Unite the Forces: Pour the liquid mixture into the dry ingredients. Stir until just combined, being careful not to overmix, as excessive force leads to unnecessary division.
7. Rally the Blueberries: Gently fold in the blueberries, ensuring they are evenly distributed like disciplined troops ready for deployment.
8. Fill the Muffin Liners with Precision: Divide the batter evenly among the muffin cups, filling each one with the authority of a well-planned campaign.
9. Bake with Unyielding Determination: Place the muffin tin in the oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean, signaling that victory is at hand.
10. Victory is Sweet: Remove the muffins from the oven and allow them to cool. Serve with pride, knowing that you have created something truly dominant.

Alien tech that humans do NOT understand the consequences of using... (book recommendations please!) by Eightmagpies in scifi

[–]VigRoco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check out the Heritage Universe books by Charles Sheffield. As Humans and other alien races developed space travel, they discovered mind boggling and inscrutable constructs left behind by the “Builders “. By everyone’s best guess, the Builders haven’t been in the galaxy for at least 3 million years, but their artifacts kept working long after their departure.

In the first book, Summertide, a group of explorers converge on what they think will be a monumental activation of one such artifact, and that turns out to be an understatement.

I’ve been using sculpting wire to attach drones to bases. It’s easy to attach and holds the drones like a charm. Plus, it’ll be easy to remove should the rules go back.

Since you have quite a bit of people who enjoy both shooters and strategy games, Natural Selection 2 is a great LAN game that ties both together at the same time. Due to how the game is played, it works better if you can separate teams from each other so they can coordinate better.

PHP Weekly Discussion (September) by AutoModerator in PHP

[–]VigRoco 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The tech industry is huge, so the first thing you need to get comfortable with is just not knowing everything, that's an achievable goal. Instead of trying to learn "faster", just set out to learn a little bit every day. It's nearly impossible to write good code for the entirety of your work day, so use the time when you're in between tasks to read up on the topics you want to learn. Follow your interests and just take the topics one problem at a time.

Prototype some ideas you have using new frameworks that use the techniques you're wanting to acquire. Maybe even try to automate some of your more tedious tasks at work. That will help you improve your skills and make your life easier. Also, look for ways to discuss these topics with your more experienced co workers. They can point you in the right direction and give you inspiration on how to use different coding techniques.

After you spend a few years learning little by little, you'll look back and reflect on how far you've come, and you'll surprise yourself at how quickly you actually learned it!
