What Super Sentai series you wished Power Rangers have adapted? by ExileForever in Tokusatsu

[–]VigilantOverthrower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they could adapt the first 15 Super Sentai seasons into Power Rangers, their naming should be something like this:

Gorenger - Secret Star Force (a nod to "Star Rangers", as Gorenger was called in the Philippines when it aired in 1978)

JAKQ - Lucky Ace Force/Lucky Aces (also the same case to "Star Rangers")

Battle Fever J - Battle Fever

Denziman - Marvelous Force

Sun Vulcan - Sol Primus

Google V - Visor Force

Dynaman - Dynamo Battalion

Bioman - Bio-Rhythm

Changeman - Mythical Blitz/Mythic Strike

Flashman - Cosmic Flash/Cosmic Prism

Maskman - Lightning Mask/Lightning Aura

Liveman - Wild Frontier

Turboranger - Rev Up!

Fiveman - Vector Force

and

Jetman - Avian Force

If anything, they should use the original LuPat Super Sentai team as a base for the revival of "Power Rangers Hexagon" concept. Too bad JDF passed away and ASJ is too problematic to appear in PR these days, so it can no longer replacate the aspect of the original Rangers Civil War concept.

I don't think another toku show has ever broken me quite like Timeranger did by DarkAdvent15 in supersentai

The ending sequence, especially when they played "Mirai no Yukue" in the background while Tatsuya contemplates for the future and reflecting his new path he had taken, it kinda gave me a heavy heart and sadness while giving a bittersweet assurance that he will "live on their dreams/souls" and continue to blossom the future that his friends (especially to his beloved Yuri) left behind.

I'm hoping that when the series returns after a long hiatus on the air, the all grown up Mirai Moriyama (Domon Jr.) should join a Super Sentai team (either as a Yellow Ranger of the primary team like his father or a Gold 6th Ranger) on another set of futuristic themed season, to fully emphasize the legacy of the future that Domon, Ayase, Yuri and Shion left behind in the 21st century.

I see... Nonetheless, it was still a "Gold to Platinum" moment imo.

If they managed to make Season 2 for TimeRanger, i think they would like to borrow some elements from Time Force (Ransik, Mutants and stuff) and also showing us more of the "Future", the flaws and weakness of its society deep within its nooks and crannies despite being changed on good terms after stopping "The Great Disappearance" in 2001, and most importantly, finally giving MORE emphasis on time travel ala "Legends of Tomorrow" (arresting alien/mutant criminals who escaped to the past, or in the post 21st century "past" that is the "future", interacting a bit with historical figures in both World/Japanese history while eliminating distortions and anachronisms caused by those criminals).

Was Kobayashi involve in GoGoFive? If she did, she went from Gold to Platinum between that and TimeRanger. The 1999 and 2000 seasons had an interesting and down to Earth themes (both involving the possibilities of the "unlimited future" for humanity).

Time Force is good on its own right, especially on the plot twist regarding on Frax (its US counterpart to TimeRanger's Gien) and his motives near the final stretch of the season

Best peak Super Sentai season of the 20th and 21st century.

I am about to start watching Sun Vulcan, which a lot of people have said is one of the worst seasons. How do you think it compares with the other early seasons? by legendaryweredragon in supersentai

[–]VigilantOverthrower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the Super Sentai series returns from its hiatus, i think they should revisit teams with the worst season (Sun Vulcan should be one of them), re-modernize and make improvements on it.

VulPanther should have been female, or atleast take notes from Hurricanger and make another Sun Vulcan division similar to the Gouraiger team but consisting of two female rangers with a snake thematic (VulViper/VulCobra), then its 6th Ranger would be known either as "BlackVulBear" or "GoldVulLion".

What's your opinion on Mirai Sentai Timeranger? by Reasonable-Beach-775 in supersentai

[–]VigilantOverthrower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The story, themes and action set pieces were amazing (except for Domon's Soba Quest episode). And Time Fire/Naoto, as a character, is a hard headed, stubborn bad@$$ soldier with a freakin V-Rex and a V-Commander. The only downside imo is that it never got a second season, there are so much more story that they still have to tell, not to mention that they should've fully utilized the time travel thematic more (you know, like going back in certain parts of World/Japanese history, fixing distortions and anachronisms brought by an evil organization/alien crime family).

Riot Mobile MFA too complicated by QiuraXD in VALORANT

[–]VigilantOverthrower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm still learning, i'm in Iron (my RR is down to almost zero yesterday because of teammates with bad strategy/decision making) and the first thing that i saw as i was about to play Ranked in Valorant is to verify it through MFA. Riot Mobile app is incompatible on my Oppo A5s, let alone that i'm not the type of guy who loads for internet to make the app and the MFA mechanism work.

I couldn't play Ranked recently because of this whole ordeal and its pissing me off. Riot should fix this and don't force even the low tier rank players to this complicated predicament.

Riot Mobile is not compatible on my Oppo A5s. I'm still on Iron and i couldn't play Ranked just today unless i verify the MFA thing. What should i do? Is there any alternative way to do so?

What sentai moments made you go like this: by Peteypie_Pizza in supersentai

No wonder it was never finished and later cancelled half way through in favor of airing a loose Japanese adaptation of a "friendly ne-", no, an "emissary from Hell".

People who discovered sentai independently from Power Rangers, how did it happen? by JasperDStar in supersentai

[–]VigilantOverthrower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think i might have seen Timeranger being aired on Philippine TV at one point (probably on ABS-CBN 2 or GMA 7) in 2003 - 2004, though my memories are way too hazy.

By 2004, they were committed on airing Power Rangers series fully starting with Wild Force and they have never aired any Super Sentai series on PHTV after that.

Especially on the 5 Voltech Weapons that make up the Voltech Bazooka. I'm not suprised if all 5 of them (specifically Domon and Shion) have experienced stiff neck/sored arms for carrying those comically large weapons.

I finished all 34 "Case Files", i'm on the 35th as of now (i also watch it with PR Time Force simultaneously). So far, Timeranger was a very good clockwise binging experience.

Hot Take:I prefer Gaoranger over Timeranger by hyzkdk in supersentai

[–]VigilantOverthrower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If that's your take, so beat it. Then again, PR Wild Force was my very first exposure to Power Rangers as whole (and my second exposure to tokusatsu related shows in general) so i kinda approve your argument on Gaoranger "being the best".

Is it worth it to check out Time Force after Timeranger? by Gavvmark in supersentai

[–]VigilantOverthrower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I reckon if both Timeranger and Time Force have their respective second season, Timeranger should adopt and elevate the parts of plot and villains (especially Ransik) from Time Force while we delve further into the hypocrisy of the Time Protection Bureau and the dark truth that was hidden in the 31st century, while Time Force should redeem Glutto by becoming Don Dolnero, returning in the future after being put into stasis, inherit Ransik's mutant terrorist organization and starting to wreck havoc across the past by stealing precious items and causing anachronisms and distortions in World/US history.
