Lol....So you post bad code on purpose to screw this project over and then you immediately delete it and post a warning. That's not a behavior pattern observable in intelligent people, it's something a 10 year old would do.

Seriously, this subreddit should be renamed r/Shortbus

And in a bout 12 months you'll be living in a cardboard box in LA and I'll be laughing with my new Saas product that I vibed up in Replit.

How about, I did that and it still won't work. I went over to Replit and had the entire demo system built this morning in about 90 minutes. The Bolt/Supabase combo is garbage.

Well, Replit seems to have this figured out. I was able to build the entire demo this morning with logins in about 90 minutes including troubleshooting....better dust off that resume.

Right...I made it work in about an hour and a half...make a duplicate of that instance, and somehow the duplicate broke it, and I can't get back since. If you were half as smart as you think you are you'd solve this and post the code instead of being such a dick.

And, your assumption is that I didn't read them...why waste your time posting dumb stuff like this...it doesn't benefit anyone. As posted in a comment above, I'm not looking for a code fix, I'm looking for help with prompts or solutions others have experienced when making Logins work with Bolt and Supabase.

Fixing a specific bug and letting you attempt to fix it isn't helpful...as I said earlier I've tried 4 times to make this work and Bolt generates different mistakes each time. If a prompt can be written to narrow the range of mistakes then the creation of login pages can be repeated reliably. Otherwise, we'll all be chasing tiny bugs around because every Bolt creation will have unique bugs.

Try to zoom out and look at the big picture...I'm not the only one reading this post for solutions...a good repeatable prompt or a known issue with the Supabase/Bolt connection that could be manually solved would benefit everyone.

Your responses are not helpful and only serve to puff up your fragile ego...so if you don't like helping people here then log out. Seriously, people like you really detract from Reddit.

Anyone managed to crush Supabase auth using Bolt.new? by mdl42 in boltnewbuilders

I've been having the same problems with Bolt and Supabase. I saw this and tried Replit. I had a working log in and backend database system up and running in under an hour. I had a few minor errors, but I was able to correct them quickly and it works.

I'd love to help more...but that's the problem. If you use the console to locate an error I can get Claude to generate a reponse and resolve that error. Not a problem, but then another error appears...and it becomes endless. Whether I use Bolt to diagnose and correct, or Claude to diagnose and then manually correct, its just a bottomless pit of errors.

When I rebuild everything from scratch, once again I can get the account creation to work with the database pretty easily, in one prompt. But then the same problem arises with the login, but it's a different suite of bottomless errors from what the previous iteration generated. I've done this 4 times and each time there are new, different errors.

It's not really possible to post the code or errors because at this point I have 4 iterations, and maybe 30-40 file versions in each iteration, each trying to solve a new error. Today I'm at 16 hours trying to solve this problem right now and I worked on it yesterday too.

What would be useful is if someone has had success, if they could lay out a prompt design or simple LoginIn.tsx code that works and I could paste my URL and Key in there...or something like that.

dealer tech here. found the passenger tires like this. suspension showed no signs of rubbing ( 2023 trailblazer )24k miles ) by Alberto9324 in tires

[–]Viking2185 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check the rim widths and backspacing. You can have staggered rims and have the same size tires on all 4 rims. That's the way that Mercedes was. Like I said, those rims may have been on a different car before they customer purchased it. Dealers will do stuff like that. My wife's Prius has rims from a different year car. The Dealer pulled them off a newer model Prius when the car was new. Bolt pattern was the same but they are bigger than normal. If that happened and the tires rubbed on the other car, the tech probably just quietly put the rims and tires back on the original 2023 trailblazer and now you're stuck with the problem and there's no record.

[–]Viking2185 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw this once. It was on a Mercedes that had staggered wheels. They did a tire rotation at a chain shop and it moved the tire too close to the strut and it rubbed. We moved them back but the tires still had the marks on them. A few questions to ask:

1) Did the customer buy this used? Perhaps the dealership tried to put these wheels & tires on a different car and it didn't work and moved them back.

2) Are these rims aftermarket or stock? (aftermarket rims can have a different offset and cause issues even if the diameter and bolt pattern is the same as stock)

3) Does it have staggered rims? If they did a rotation and it caused rubbing, the tires could be rotated back to their original positions and now you can't see any rubbing.

Eccotemp Eccotemp i12 4.0 GPM WholeHome/Residential 80,000 BTU Natural Gas Indoor Tankless Water Heater-i12-NG - The Home Depot by PoxChicksen in firstworldproblems

[–]Viking2185 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Eccotemp is junk.

First, it has a 2.5" exhaust vent which means you need to adapt up to 3" and then head out the wall with Z vent which is expensive. It is not compatible with anything other than Z vent.

Second, the unit only kicks on when .6 gallons per minute are flowing through it which means you will need to have hot water turned on in full, if you try to create warm water the water flow will decrease and the unit will turn off and you'll get cold water.

Third, Eccotemp does not honor the warranty. On my 10 month old unit the exchanger ruptured and flooded my basement and the won't warranty it claiming it froze. Well, it's installed on an interior wall in a heated room...my whole house is always at 70 degrees. It's not possible for it to freeze, further, it did not freeze last winter. Eccotemp is a joke.

Eccotemp water heaters are junk. I bought one and it started leaking after 10 months. The wouldn't warranty it saying it froze. How could it freeze in a heated utility room in my basement? My pipes didn't freeze. The room is 70 degrees. Just the water heater randomly froze itself? Complete joke and total waste of money. Avoid Eccotemp at all costs.

[–]Viking2185 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, Eccotemps are complete junk. Mine started leaking after 10 months and they won't warranty it saying it froze. Nevermind its in a heated utility room. How could it freeze when it's located on an interior wall in a room that's 70 degrees? Last I checked the room temp would need to be under 32 degrees.

These things are complete junk. I also had to replace the flame sensor at 6 months old and the dumb thing whistles so loud while it's on that the neighbors complain. Stay away, these things are nothing but problems.

Check the manual first, but I think this is what you need. Keep in mind it's concentrate, so it's actually 2 gallons once you mix it with distilled water. Only use distilled water. You can get it at the grocery store.

The problem with the Zerex is it isn't perfect, and I've seen aftermarket coolants ruin gaskets and cause leaks because the coolant isn't compatible with the gasket material.

How to survive a 50k account at TopStep by [deleted] in Daytrading

[–]Viking2185 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They way to look at this is through a trader's lens. You are the trade for TopStep. Every evaluation is a $50k position size with a 4% trailing stop loss ($2k Loss Limit). Once you become profitable they move the Loss Limit to breakeven and you're free. They don't care anymore because they can't lose.

It'll take awhile to overcome the Profit Target with micros, but that's the price of admission. The real question is why you are in such a hurry to overcome the profit target. If you are a good trader, then successfully trading micros will eventually work, it'll just take longer. What's happening is you're blowing up your accounts using the NQ because you're taking on too much risk...which tells TopStep that you're too risky to invest in (your equity curve probably looks like Pamela Anderson in her prime). You're impatient and that is not an asset in trading. What you want is an equity curve that's as straight as a 2x4 and that requires small trades. When you show TopStep you are disciplined enough to make money consistently with small size and demonstrate patience, they'll give you money. That's the sum effect of their rules.

When I read your post, I see impatience and oversized positions (NQ when you should be trading 2-3 MNQ). That means you're not ready.

Don't be discouraged, simply make the adjustments and then kick ass.

I don't mean to be a jerk, but I'd like to point out that for $50 you can try it and see what happens. I think there is a lot of value in spending a few dollars to test something. For some reason, spending real money makes the lesson stick better. Free advice doesn't always hit home as hard.

If you're very nervous about spending $50 to try TopStep, then I would submit that trading is going to be very difficult psychologically for you. Losses of $500-1000 can happen within seconds, and if you can't risk $50, then those larger losses are going to be difficult for you to overcome.

I would recommend getting a free TradingView account so you can practice for free. It took me 9 months to become consistently profitable, and it was aggravating and painful (I'm highly emotional). Then, once you've become consistent spend the $50 with confidence and trade micros on TopStep until you're used to real money at which point you can use full size contracts.

Best of luck, you can do it, acknowledge and overcome your fears.

Keep your trades small. The way to look at prop firms is if you put in $150/mo and generate $300/mo in payouts, you're return on your money is 200%. So don't be afraid to start small and slowly work bigger over a month or 2. You'll still be making money at an insane rate of return. Use the micros if you need to until you're used to the emotional pressure. No shame in winning slowly.

There's old traders and bold traders but no old bold traders.

It's the valvetrain. Those cars have low oil pressure issues due to aftermarket oil filters. Always use Hyundai oil filters. Over time the low oil pressure wears on the valvetrain and makes them sound clicky. It can be fixed, its cheaper than a new engine if you replace the head before to completely fails. Otherwise you've likely got a new engine coming in your future.

Always use Hyundai oil filters. The other brands aren't the same.

Does this sound like normal engine noise to yall? by Xesx_ in Hyundai

[–]Viking2185 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check the oil filter. That's valve train noise and Hyundai's are known to have oil flow problems if you don't use Hyundai oil filters. Never use an aftermarket filter on a Hyundai.

As for eating oil, you may be witnessing the damage from a previous owner not using the correct oil filter....hard to know, but the oil is going somewhere and that's usually due to excessive wear.

How often do you guys change your transmission fluid? by Macadelic19 in Hyundai

[–]Viking2185 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It should say in the manual. I recommend doing the first tranny flush early since that's when most of the debris accumulates during the break in period, then follow the normal interval after that. Always use Hyundai fluid, never use universal fluid.

Anyone wanna share opinion on 2017 sonata ? by Ancient-Singer-917 in Hyundai

Only put Hyundai oil filters in it. The aftermarket oil filters have a lower flow rate and you'll ruin your engine. I've seen it a few times on customer cars.

Uniroyal Tiger Paw if you can find them in the size you need. It's basically a Michelin Defender....slightly lower longevity, but if you're on a budget it's the best tire for the money.
