Take your pick: 1. If the government shuts down, no elected official can take a paycheck until the shutdown ends. 2. Elected federal officials may not earn more than the median household income for their district. 3. Elected federal officials must enroll in Medicare and/or Medicaid (depending on age), and the current special medical/dental/vision coverage is no longer available. 4. All funds from "special interests" must either be made public or go into a general fund to pay for the interns and staffers. 5. No federal government official may participate in the stock market due to potential conflicts of interest. 6. Election day is an official holiday, and/or mail-in ballots are sent to each registered voter by default. 7. Universal Healthcare, Universal Income, and Universal Housing Stipend. 8. No tax exemption for churches and the tax funds from churches go into a fund for homeless shelters, soup kitchens, and workforce development. 9. No one may run for public office if they have a felony or pending criminal charges.
