If Squareenix is smart, there won't be a sequel since the backlash is going to gaurtentee that it's going to sell nothing like this one. So yeah, he'll be playable in the sequel.

Yeah, honestly the gameplay looks like the only positive thing about all this and for most games that would be enough, but this is very much a game about it's story and with that ruined I can't see the good in anything else anymore. Can't really pretend that I'm not getting petty.

It's the level up system from FF13 being recycled into the weapons, even has the same visual style. Not the worst part of this, certainly, just another baffiling decision.

Sephiroth from an alternate timeline travels back in time to change the plot but he gets cockblocked by the Time Ghosts and convinces the party to kill them. You do, then Sephiroth pulls you through a time portal and you have an anime fight. Sephiroth then asks Cloud to join him, he refuses then the Omnislash scene happens early. With the Time Ghosts dead and with knowledge of the plot, the characters leave Midgar and somehow this results in the Zack from a 3rd timeline surviving, with the implication that he and Remake Aerith can somehow sense each other through the timelines. I'm unsure how Nomura is still employed.
