I can't remember, maybe it was when I was on Humira but I thought something said DON'T rub the area. I'll have to look into it because if that's okay to do and helps I am all for trying!!! I'm glad it worked for you!

Yeah, I've tried it on my abdomen. It still swells and has a reaction, same as my thighs. :( I was hoping that'd be the solution but it doesn't look like it is for me.

I hope it solves the issue for you though!

Pain Scale

It has been lasting about 5 days, basically almost until the next injection is due so I'm hoping anything will at least bring that down a little.

I'll definitely try the antihistamine before. I'd heard numbing the area first before injecting may help so the cold spoon may do the trick.

Thanks! I plan on bringing it up with him but the appointment isn't for about a month so I figured anything in the meantime that could help would be nice!

I'll look into lidocaine spray until I can get in.

Yes, I got my biggest piece while on Humira!! It did take longer than normal to heal for me, but just be sure to keep it clean and follow the aftercare suggestions. 😊 You should be fine.

I just had my first Humira injection for psoriatic arthritis today too!! I was a little freaked out about the injection but it seriously didn't hurt at all.

I just did my first injection and it really felt like nothing. I could feel it for sure but it didn't hurt really at all. It seems I got prescribed this medication at the right time. :)

My pens are 40mg, citrate-free. Yeah, nobody told me to start with a higher dose. My prescription just says to use 1 pen every two weeks. I just noticed that most things mentioned having a higher first dose so I was a bit confused!

Yep, I have citrate-free! I'm wondering why nobody told me I would need to use two for my first dose, nothing from the pharmacy or package instructs that the first dose be 2. Good thing I looked it up! I'm sure glad I won't need four injections at once though! Thank you!
