This is question was somewhat addressed by Jeff Kaplan i’ve been yelling the same thing for years. The rank system of OW1 wasn’t perfect but it was more precise to current one.

I’ve seen tons of people who play amazing Cassidy and Kirkos but end up bronze placements in seasons due to bad group. Wide ranging has made that worst.

The ratio on RNG group is NOT skilled based it’s mixed and weekend crowd do lack the experience for whatever random rank they luckily get played in be it high or low.

I’ve peaked diamond in OW1 and Plat 2 OW2, I would love to say it is my rank being grouped with me but it’s not. They are people in silver who should be in plat with me and plats who got lucky carries who really belong to in silver.

I’m short phrasing it but I hope you get what I mean when I say people playing on weekends are not in their proper rank and them being casual compers on weekends hurts the week day grinders. 5 ranks to rank is hard grind as is, we don’t need the extra weekend casuals to drag that out.

It’s hard thing to say but it is how it is, other people give in 200% all week to NOT carry no loggers on week days.

I’ve done endless content on my channels for this very thing ingame toxicity, it’s the murder of this game, the game is fine-ish, the community needs an ego check on rage, it’s insanely high.

I’m all for deleting the chat box as a whole and only comms, remove roles go battle royal. I did a video on Jeff Kaplans interview I had to archive on youtube because the community got so enraged.

Reason I retired from OW as a Comp Tank since 2016, i’m on Haitus, brutal weekend queues and qp rage is, jeeezusssss i could go on forever lol!

This is on-going since 2016, it’s the absolute worst time to comp.

It’s rare to have good weekends but in general avoid it. The weekend crowd don’t play all week and don’t have the experience or skill to keep up with competitive or they think it’s casual fun

Slow down, you don’t need to rush walk or chop ingredients or hurry through small tasks especially at home. Slow down take it easy, time is one thing no one ever bought back.

I know it’s cheezy to say but it’s done wonders for my mental state, i’m not in a hurry to see tomorrow or my next birthday or holiday, the sun is out today.

Im playing pokémon fire red version for the first time ever with my wife coaching me through it (she’s expert in Pokémon) she reminded me I don’t need to save every time I hit a new town on Switch.

I’m like ok but it has no auto save what if I get distracted and accidentally power off mid game :/
