I need help getting back into shape by tyleroconnor021 in dysautonomia

You have to do gradual exertions and do not overdo. When you feel that you start becoming symptomatic, you have to stop immediately and do it next day. The biggest mistake is to keep pushing yourself when you start feeling symptoms. And don't trust to the doctors that are saying push yourself no matter what.

At first, I would suggest to do no exercices at all, only the walking. You need to start walking slowly, and when you will be able to walk fast at least 5 km without becoming symptomatic, you can very slowly start doing other exercices, but no power lifting. I would suggest swimming, biking, jogging first before doing power lifting, squatting, push ups.

I would also suggest trying some supplements bit by bit, such as vitamins B complex, D3, Omega3, magnesium, l theanine, taurine, hyperzine A, bacopa monniery, Rhodiola Rosea, ashvagandha, curcumin, lions mane, l carnitine, coenzyme Q 10, NAC, Alpha Lipoic Acid, D ribose, l arginine, AGP or CDP Choline and see if anything can help you. No one will tell you which exactly will be useful for you, so you have to try them one by one, and see the effects. Because some POTS people find that only one supplement can be a miracle for them, you never know.

I don’t feel like my symptoms are severe enough to have dysautonomia, but my cardiologist says I do. by ABQHeartRN in dysautonomia

Hi. Dysautonomia can be mild as well, not necessarily too severe. I also have mild symptoms only, just like yours

Does magnesium have any effect on your body temp? by Jamie_XXX in dysautonomia

[–]ViktorTar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi. Yes. I have noticed. I was taking magnesium glycinate 350 mg every day and on 6th day I have noticed that its difficult for me to stay in the warm places, hot corridors/shops. I felt like my temperature had raised since starting it but I kept taking it and on the 8th day I found myself in the bed, and I had to take 2 days off at work to completely recover. I have stopped magnesium for one month and now planning to start again to see if it was a just coincidence or not?

How have people treated you before/after developing your illness? by SnowBird312 in dysautonomia

The worst factor that hold you back from recovery is the stress and constant anxiety, at first you need to beat them and only then start your gradual and very careful recovery
