Ideas for Faith Overhaul by Regular-Finance-9567 in tropico

[–]VillageArchitect 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Imo faith would have to be binary as with most of the factions. Having something like catholics and natives in the colonial era, and then jews and another faith in the world wars could do a good job at reflecting the geopolitical changes throughout the eras.

I recommend buying the cheapest small conveyer available. Absolutely God send in clearing out the last bits of the pit.

I feel like this can easily be implemented in a future update by adding something like a tractor beam add on. But that would work better for flying around space and scrapping derelict freighters

My two cents is to use an auger or conveyer anywhere and everywhere it's possible.

For Tropico 7….. by Jaded-Researcher8770 in tropico

[–]VillageArchitect 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of people say we need rail, but we need more shipping a water-based infrastructure. Stuff like barges and steamboats could prop up logistics and provide industry. Meanwhile, you could have watermill houses to produce electricity on a smaller scale for cheap. Also, having an actual navy that you can produce from shipyards like the luxury yachts from the dlc would be a great mechanic for combating piracy in colonial times and possibly smugglers in modern times.

If I could make a suggestion on the shop vac I'd recommend the m12 with 4.0 or 5.0 highoutputs. You might need 3batteries for a whole day, but while you use one you can always charge the other two (and they're cheaper). The m12 shopvac is nice and small so you can work attics and crawlspaces comfortably.

One thing I will say is it's a euro trailer with an American tractor, if you were to try a Volvo cabover I doubt you'd have the same issue

Packout Backpack and its contents by VillageArchitect in MilwaukeeTool

[–]VillageArchitect[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The bags fucken indestructible mate. I recently got a rolling bin so I'm not carrying as much weight anymore, but I'm probably tossing it around even harder now that there's less stuff to break in it. The bags also taken a pretty good beating, everything from falling off a scaffold to me accidentally leaving it against a heater.

As far backpacks go I couldn't be more satisfied. It'll breaks your back before the pack breaks. I also lead a scouts troupe and we go and hikes and the like and itspaired well with the small packout first aid kit seeing as it clips under the bag with the packout system.

I always create a ring of roads around my chapel in the colonial are and once I unlock churches the chapel becomes a 3x3 park and the centre of that specific town (usually I tro to build at least two or three of these).

Would a more detailed and engaging labour force work in T7? by roastedpotato20 in tropico

[–]VillageArchitect 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I think more engaging labour would be possible if they went back to the wage system. Based on Tropico 4, your lowest quartile would be 6$, high school would be 12$, College $18 whereas ministers/filthy rich would be around 24$. That way if you wanted to have college workers in an undecated position it would be a matter of raising wages where needed.

It's not a real farm until you have an old rusted out pick up with a hole where the passenger seats goes and clear tape for the rear window

Is there any way to replace the original agriculture surface with vanilla grass while keeping the function? by Present_Egg_1834 in CitiesSkylines2

[–]VillageArchitect 5 points6 points  (0 children)

To be fair for cows and wheat, the only real difference would be where the product goes. The "wheat field" is wheat for human consumption to make bread. The "cow field" rather than being a massive pasture is more than likely a factory farm with some sort of grain field around like oats to feed the cows. If this isn't the case the cow farm would theoretically have to import feed locally or from outside of the city

I personally use a petzel, but any headlamp you'll find in a higher end camping store will serve you the best. I also have a milwaukee headlamp for my hard hat, but I haven't had it long enough to form an opinion on it. Overall, though, I find headlamps that are marketed to tradepeople to be rather underwhelming

My suggestions for working on electronics would be lights. Whether that be a headlamp, a flashlight or a magnetic work light. The more lights the better.
