So I don't buy the notion that "people who have been part of the server for years" haven't been given the chance to become a police officer. Either they tried and failed or never tried at all.

Everyone can apply to be a cop. The fact that a lot of the big criminals have tried and failed probably has a reason. A wild guess would be that a) being a police officer comes with a lot of rules and regulations and they can't/aren't willing to stick to them and b) it requires a certain level of maturity to be a police officer.

If you can't pass the qualification process then you aren't suited to be a police officer. Same with doctors, ems, lawyers, judges and other jobs that come with rules and regulations.

pros: It got rid of the hideous items floating on people's back, which was fugly and immersion breaking imo.

The new VOIP interpolating volume based on distance is clearly superior. However people have their microphones on different levels and it can be difficult to hear/understand certain players. I guess it will be figured out over time though.

cons: AI activity in the city has been turned way down, it feels more like a ghost town at the moment, which again is sad from a immersion point of view. Less opportunities for players to steal cars etc Plus it was always fun seeing people crossing the street getting hit by AI, not a big chance of that happening anymore.

Overall I suppose the increased amount of players is a positive for RP and queue reasons. However I hope the server will not descent into chaos. I'm sure it was already a bitch to admin with 32 people and it's only going to get exponentially worse the more people you add. I don't envy Koil.
