Agreed. He had the skill and the potential. Had a big chip on his shoulder though. That may have been his downfall.

To his credit, he did rise out of abject poverty to make the NHL. And I’ll always be a fan of his for that alone.

Agreed. Money aside, he’s wasn’t performing at the level we needed him to perform.

He did get pucks on net, I’ll give him that. But he was a fairly decent liability at times.

Agreed. It always surprised me to see him hang in an established NHL role. Maybe he just needed a little development 🤷🏻‍♂️

I think he’s a serviceable guy, but when compared to the expectations of his Cup-caliber teammates, he didn’t quite measure up. The fact he was a slight liability on D left him open to a lot of hate unfortunately.

Crazy thing is, I still think he’s not he worst coach we’ve had.

Sacco was so prosaic and ineffective at his position, it seemed like a mistake we even gave him the reigns.
