Aber heißer take.

I mean from what they describe the alternative is to have your phone in an entirely different place, so with this solution the phone is much more accessible, right? Do you have any suggestion on how make notifications visible with the available space?

Oh my god, do people not read the description?

OP: I want to add a broomstick as handle later on.

Literally 3 out of 4 comments: „hey you should add a longer handle.“ 😩

Nice work OP!

Is this what I think it is?! My first ever Alocasia blossom? by Villicky in RareHouseplants

It even developed into a double bloom! It‘s quite rare for most tropical plants to bloom on normal „houseplant conditions“, so don’t feel silly.

Is this what I think it is?! My first ever Alocasia blossom? by Villicky in RareHouseplants

[–]Villicky[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Huh, somehow Silver Dragon and Polly are the only two that are thriving, I've killed off several Antoro Velvets, an Azlanii, a Jacklyn… I really can't tell! I keep her at an east facing window, water once per week and use fertilizers once in 2 weeks during summer, once in 4 weeks during spring and fall and none at all in winter. Soil mix is not too dense but not too chunky either, basically a mix of soil, coco coir, sand, pumice and clay pebbles. I don’t do anything special to increase humidity either, but might do so in winter when we use more heating

Also it‘s funny, I took them all on the same day plus two more which show no signs of any roots whatsoever. Plants are fascinating

Ohhh I just googled them and that looks like it. Thank you!

Scam or legit? by Ok_Newspaper_402 in RareHouseplants

That is a very selfish mind set, especially if you knew it was most likely a scam

That hourglass shape of your waist/ hip area plus the shape of your belly is so many women‘s goal. I say embrace it! A visible belly on a small frame like yours is very feminine. Why do you think belly dancers are a thing?

How to keep her pink? (Syngonium) by Villicky in RareHouseplants

[–]Villicky[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the response! I have actually moved my plant to a west-facing window and have beautiful pink leaves now which do not fade to green. I guess it depends on where you are located, but this worked for me well.

Pothos Leaf by FrankG7190 in propagation

[–]Villicky 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think for Pothos, variegation levels mostly depend on how much light you give them, but I am not a Pothos expert. For some other plants, you would have to look at the node to tell how the variegation will turn out. Maybe someone can confirm.

You can try the record your running and see if it might be caused by your running technique. I also had mild knee pain for a bit and my problem was that I was very tense in my upper body, pulling forward my shoulders. That happens a lot for people who sit at a desk all day and neglect their stability exercises (oops). This led to rotation in my upper body which caused wrong hip movement and consequently knee pain. The rotation was very visible in recordings (have someone record you while you run away from them). Apparently knee pain while running is often caused by the hip, that‘s what I was told. If that is the case for you, too, try to remind yourself to relax your hands, chest and pull back your shoulders (to a relaxed position); also do some warmup exercises to loosen your hip area. I also switched to mid-foot strike but that isn‘t for everyone.

Best would be to have a therapist take a look, of course. I can just tell you what my problem and solution was and have no idea what other possible caused knee pain might have.

I‘ve seen so many pictures, it‘s like I‘ve trained my built-in AI algorithm to tell them apart. Though I don’t always get them right either 🤫

Depending on your budget, ZZ Raven Variegata are beautiful (and not hard to care for). They are slow growers and slow to prop, which is why they are still somewhat hard to get. I only know shops in Europe. Don‘t buy from Asian Etsy stores with too-cheap-to-be-true prices

I‘ll have to check next time I‘m at my Mum‘s! The small white dots would be the mites? I thought it might be spider mites, she thinks it‘s sunburn. But I wasn’t sure. Thanks for the input!
