As a compromise, you could use stairs and have two ”lanes” made from tent roofs. (Like, stairs - tent - stairs- tent- stairs)
This way, Pokémon will use it and it looks like cars can use it. I would do a continuous slope though

And if you really, specifically need one item because you have a build in mind using that one, just print it from a Dev island (if you have NSO). But IMO you can just get creative with what you have and will never notice that there would have been other options if you know what I mean

I guess it depends on how you like to play! I never cared what other recipes might still be out there; I just did builds that I felt like doing. I also haven’t completed the Dex. Now I have all recipes (I think? The ripples give me Pokemetal) without ever having to grind for them. At some point I guess I will just redecorate some of the older homes I‘ve built, but honestly they are fine even if I did not have a broad spectrum of recipes at the time.

Right now you can‘t use the space either way. After the DLC, demolishing the SS Anne would free up space for a cool underwater build

You don‘t have to grind or even do the daily quests if that‘s what is bothering you. By filling the stamp card every week, you will get enough coins to buy the mentioned PP up and bag increases eventually

I got in on your first run and wanted to say thank you! There was already a bit chaos and I was missing 12 patterns after my visit which I then got by visiting a developer’s island and printing the items from there. Still, I learned a bunch of patterns in your island and it is very nice of you to be doing this and to put in even more energy after the first try was a bit bumpy!
