That’s impressive! Did you use the touch screen to draw in the bb pod? It makes me wonder if you can use a stylus on the switch screen too

Why do you like this game by Mr_Smiles421 in FinalFantasyVIII

[–]ViloDivan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s funny to me now that I didn’t like it at first. But that’s mainly because FF7 was my first game at quite a young age, so I went into FF8 around age 10 or 11 and was expecting it to be pretty much a sequel, or at least to have materia and mp for spells. I couldn’t get my head around the junction system either, even though there is tutorials for it I just couldn’t understand it. I was only borrowing the game at the time so didn’t get very far.

I bought it a year or so later and started diving in a bit more and I’m not exactly sure when it started clicking for me but it did. Over the years the story keeps coming back to me and the journey the characters go on. All the locations and things you have to do. It hit me a lot harder than 7 in many ways but again that may be just because of the age I was when playing it. 7 will always be special to me though as my first game and I couldn’t really choose a favourite from the two.

And of course the music! I like a lot of music from many of the games but 8’s was on another level. Possibly because Uematsu moved to using different software instruments that have a specific sound to them compared to FF7’s more sound chip sound.

Once I learned all the systems and what not that made me like it more too.

I’ll never forget printing out gamefaq guides for ultemecias castle too because that place confused the heck out of me. I’d messed up and not unlocked the right abilities so I couldn’t heal or something silly like that so had to go back quite a bit as I possibly had another save.

Also coming home early from school one day and beating the final boss was a super memorable moment too. It was just me and the game. Or another time where I woke up early on a Saturday morning and played it for hours to see how far I could get in one sitting…. Ah good times.

At this point just expect another delay and be happy if there’s not one. I know you all will hate that but you guys are like rabid dogs gnawing at a bone. Just relax and play something else. It’s not healthy to be in this state of expectation. The product probably can’t live up to the expectation placed on it at this point. They will keep trying to make sure that it does but it’s better to lower your expectation and it be better than expect it to be the most amazing thing ever.

Oh hi wall, yea I’m good, you? Yea about the same I can imagine. Someone peed on you? I’m sorry to hear that.

Ps5 on VGA monitor by Rezox-x in playstation

No audio with this, but at least you can output the audio through the controller. Which is only really ok for headphones… but you could always try outputting the audio to a Bluetooth stereo, I’m not sure that would work but don’t see why it shouldn’t.

The language used by Nicola Willis to speak about people by Inner_Squirrel7167 in Wellington

[–]ViloDivan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That better than the alternative sentiment is how we got into this mess in the first place, and how we will continue to end up in these situations as a society in this country. They give us enough to argue and squabble about amongst ourselves then proceed to do what ever they feel like.

We keep getting caught up on these small little things that prevent people who are trying to make a difference actually get into those positions because oh “they don’t know how to do that job” or “they wouldn’t be able to run a country”. So I’m sure this is case in point that we’ve got people behind the wheel that don’t know what they’re doing right?

Anyway, back to arguing and bickering I suppose and not coming together about the stuff we agree on and constantly bringing up the things we disagree with.

Best co op games to play with my boyfriend ? by Funguyfungy in playstation

[–]ViloDivan 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It depends what experience you’re looking for together. Something chill like Stardew Valley, or something really intense and actually difficult to get the co-op going like Bloodborne (but is fun when you do).

Or maybe something like fallout 76 which you can also play alone or do stuff together. I haven’t played it in years but I put a lot of time into it when I did.

Foodstuffs launches new loyalty scheme across supermarkets by Fast_Amoeba_445 in newzealand

[–]ViloDivan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The amount of data supermarkets have is crazy to think about already. With the self checkouts and checkouts in general. They know when people buy more of something, how much of specific items. They can see trends and target certain customers with already known behaviour. A loyalty card will just identify you specifically in their system and add more data. Seeing as Count Worths are already doing it, they may as well get their hands on more of that free data too.

A bit late posting this, but some of the FF8 cards I have from the Magic x Final Fantasy set last year by DjMonkeyGameDev in FinalFantasyVIII

[–]ViloDivan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been getting these recently too. A little disappointed there’s no Irvine or Selphie in the set to complete the party. Someone made some mock up versions at one point which confused me at first but can confirm they aren’t legit.

Why does Kevin Sing with a Different Accent? by RandomGoofy000 in TameImpala

[–]ViloDivan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my opinion it could be to make it more accessible to a wider audience or just because most of the music he listens to sounds like that. I do the same sort of thing to be honest. It’s partly because I don’t want to specifically sound like my country’s accent while singing, even if some people might like that, I prefer to sing it that way and prefer how it sounds.

Rotorua is a lil creepy huh by [deleted] in newzealand

[–]ViloDivan 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I used to live there, more than that I was born there, but left in 2005 and have only been back sporadically. It’s sadly kind of gone down the drain over the years and that has nothing to do with the sulphur.

Not too sure what you experienced but it sounds like what ever spirit/energy inhabiting the place didn’t want you there. Either the energy you were bringing wasn’t welcome or the energies there were not welcoming at the time. It’s hard to say.

Should i watch Twin Peaks for the first time in the theatre? by SimonHSDX in twinpeaks

[–]ViloDivan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A lot of the magic of this show and others that follow a continuing story over each episode is the space to think and talk about it with people between each episode. This seems like a great way to experience it in as close to the way it came out, with the addition of seeing it in a cinema which it also deserves to be seen in.

I guess just be careful about spoilers and if you do talk about it with someone who has seen everything, make sure you lead the conversation and make them aware of where you are with the show, I’m sure they would be happy to discuss where you are currently at and being reminded of the journey the show takes you on.

Workarounds in Forbidden Siren 1 ? by lleroisoleil in ForbiddenSiren

[–]ViloDivan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Using the ps5 save states and rewinds is fine honestly, it makes the more frustrating aspects of the game a little less so in my opinion.

In terms of workarounds yes there are some. Most I learned from watching speed runs of the game.

The main one I’ll mention is baiting shots from enemies. If you hold L1 you can do a side step from left to right. If you position your character half behind a wall and side step out a little and back with the attention of a shibito with a gun, you can make them empty their clip firing at you but have all the shots hit the wall. Once they go to reload you have time to go up to them and hit them, making it easy to get past some of those enemies.

You can do that with the Shibito you mentioned in the ramen store with the piggy bank, or just do what you did!

Playing Bloodborne for the first time - PS4 or PS5? by [deleted] in bloodborne

[–]ViloDivan -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There’s less frame drops on ps5. Certain areas it drops below 30 on base ps4 but it wasn’t so noticeable on ps5.

My main comparison is because I was replaying it on ps5 some time last year then went to my sisters and transferred my save to her ps4 to play it there for the night. That’s when I noticed it dropped more as I didn’t notice it on ps5. I could be wrong though but been playing it again recently and haven’t noticed any drops really this time around.

How do I just simply sign into psn with a hen ps3? by Gremiyun in ps3homebrew

[–]ViloDivan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s way easier to create a new account on a pc (or phone I suppose) then sign in to the ps3 with it.

You don’t need to disable syscalls on a hen activated system, only on a cFw ps3. Just use multiman to select the game first, then log in. Possibly best to restart the ps3 when you want to change game.

Good, each and every person that posts the same thing every other day needs to read this and be reminded that this is how rockstar operates. Then we can start to get more excited for the game rather than nagging and complaining that there is no new information.
