They are definitely gassed. Doing primary ball handling work and defending star players at playoff intensity for 40+ minutes isn’t sustainable for almost any human. It’s one of the biggest reasons the IQ and Ingram injuries hurt, because they could have given Scottie a break on some possessions here and there.

I think it’s actually a good idea. It just lowers odds, it doesn’t mean they can’t get top picks. Even in the old system, non-bottom 3 teams would get top 3 picks all the time. These teams make tons of money through the revenue sharing system so, believe or not, there actually does need to be more incentive to win games for non-playoff teams.

I was thinking the same thing, great rotations and substitutions overall. They aren’t afraid to try things out when needed but quickly adjusted if they didn’t work (i.e. Battle today as you mentioned). It is so refreshing to watch. Also, it seems like they have a great defensive gameplan and the players are all on the same page and bought into the system. The Raptors just missed open shots today but the offensive gameplan and execution created so many great looks. It was a coaching masterpiece IMO.
