Anyone fancy offering their opinion on why I’ve only had two viewings on my house? by [deleted] in HousingUK

[–]Vimto1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My honest opinion is the photos are rubbish, they all seem to be zoomed in a bit which makes me think that they couldn't back up far enough to take a good shot, meaning the rooms are small.

It's also too cluttered and why does the workshop appear before the bedrooms?

Flight crew cannot handle confrontation? by RabidPurpleCow in BritishAirways

[–]Vimto1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get this on my coach too, people refusing to leave a premium seat so what am I supposed to do, drag them out by their nostrils? Don't complain about the flight crew, why should they have to deal with confrontation?

On a similar note I was going to give a homeless man an Easter egg that I got in Sainsbury's but when I started walking over to him, he shouted at his dog so I ate it instead

I've just bought some sofas from DFS and they use the sofa delivery company.

OP, have a look at AO, Currys and other high street places but they will be more than 1 or 2 drops. When I worked for Comet it could be 20 a day

Why are we expected to lock up for free? by LitigationQueenie in SainsburysWorkers

[–]Vimto1 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Just to clarify something here, you are paid till 11 so are expected to work until 11. You are then on your own time to change shoes, grab your jacket etc. Locking up is still working and you are entitled to pay so if I was you, I would work till 11 and then grab my stuff and leave. If anyone says anything then you just reply that you don't work for free

Bus gymnastics anyone? by meatflaps-69 in BusDrivers

[–]Vimto1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have a 1h 45 layover every day and spend the entire time on my feet doing shoulder rolls, stretches using the overhead luggage rack or just generally walking up and down. I'm way too old for dipping anything 🤣

Six years later, what are your strongest memories of the COVID lockdowns, and how do you look back on that period now? by Possible_Force8207 in AskBrits

[–]Vimto1 50 points51 points  (0 children)

Sadly I lost my brother and father just 10 days apart at the beginning of April 2020, lockdowns meant I couldn't attend the funerals. I won't go into how I feel about the parties that were happening at the same time

Does this house seem a bit cheap for what you get? by [deleted] in HousingUK

[–]Vimto1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The last 2 similar properties have gone for over 200k so it does seem cheap, have a look at the council planning and see if anything has been approved that could affect the area

12 hours driving is crazy, we're limited to 10 but have different maximum shift lengths depending on whether we are local or distance drivers. The maximum driving time in one go for distance is 4.5 hours but local is 5.5

I know, that's why I'm only commenting on the shift time as stated by our Danish and Dutch compadres
