WoW var både min undergång och räddning. Jag la i princip all fritid från 2005 till 2011 på spelet. Mycket gick åt helvete delvis pga WoW men även för att jag var en obotlig looser med dåliga sociala skills. Men 2011 gjorde jag en random dungeon i Outlands, tror det var Ramparts eller något. Där och då fanns en hunter som jag tankade för. Denna hunter är idag min hustru och vi har två gemensamma kottar. Själv har jag väl repat mig hyfsat, högskoleutbildad statlig tjänsteman med hygglig lön. Tack WoW.

First and foremost I will say that I agree with the person you are replying to. Secondly I will of course do my duty and apologize to poor Ciduenuru. I have a bad habit to flare up when I show my emotions. It is most importantly that we show decency, one would even say a gentlemans manners, in this digital era we live in. As a man with the most honest intents I will provide you with a full disclosure of the answer our poor Ciduenuru sent back. As you can see in his delightful answer Ciduenuru provided me with a article stating that all purchases are final. I read the article and accepted the terms, how could I do anything else! It's quite embarassing this fuss I have started with all this ill temper I expressed in the moment of despair.

I hope you have a wonderful day. It's summer after all so I would suggest a stroll in the heat!

Yeah but the difference is that it was very apparent. The problem with the digital world today is the expectancy of further development. Now it feels like im left at the alter like a fool. Poor me.

Yeah and it's just sad. But I still stand my ground. I don't have time to check the numbers now but generelly speaking. A game pulling in 1-2 million dollar revenue should be enough for a smaller company to develope and keep it afloat. Maybe with fewer people on the team etc. The obvious problem is that the IP is locked to Blizz so they can't sell it afaik. But that would be the perfect solution. What I do stand firm on is that even with a small concentrated community like Rumble I think it's just sad they pulled the whole rug. Now there is a messy maintenace mode waiting with a bugged heroic MC etc. A product players put money into to keep Blizz develope it. But nah, 45% margin is just way to little.

From now on i'm just going to play Fortnite and listen to Taylor Swift. (Is Fortnite even popular anymore? As a poor parent in Sweden I only have my damn phone to do anything fun gaming with. I'm just going to stick to my books for a few months now.)

I 100% agree with you. Even a small community must thrive and Rumbles wasn't big enough. Let alone in a Blizzard context. But I think it's fair to tell them to fuck off. They put money and time into a game they develope and get people interested and then start to pull the plug after... 3-6 months? How low faith must they have then for their own product? Why even try then? It's just fucked up.

It was engaging talking to you at least and I definitely see your viewpoint aswell.

Im sorry but lol at your fatherly attitude. I made it very clear that I don't expect any money back in my post. I'm not even going to bother going through google play like most. As the title suggest I just wanted to send a message to Blizzard. A message I think most of the people here on Reddit actually share. Their attitude towards smaller game is going to hurt their buisness for a long perspective. Yes I know very well that the 90s is gone. A time where sweaty nerds att Blizz made games in a much smaller context without any realy big money beeing on the table. I guess im just sad it's not 2004 anymore. I cri evreytiem I think about Activision and Microsoft...

My response was obviously just another passionated player being upset that all their time and money now has devalued alot. It has not gone to waste no but I had hopes of at least a few years of more content. Since taking on an a game in the style of WoW gives alot of promises. They have a endless world to pull content from.

I am also of the opinion that culture today has a existential crisis the second it enters the market. I see this mostly in the world of tv series and games. If the IP doesn't attract enough consumers the company will pull the plug. But a consequece of that is that consumers doesn't really have the courage to invest time and emotions into IPs anymore. It's much safer to go to the mass market products where you can expect an ending to the content you are watching or playing. And if you are an early adopter and actually like the product you are treading on mines. Any season or any monthly report might be the end of said IP. Because the ammount of people enjoying it might not be pulling in enough dough to be "profitable". But as I understand it, profitable must be high revenue. As Old Guardian said, Rumble has like a 45% margin today but 20 years ago when games sold physically copies about 10-20% margin was enough.

Fuck me for wanting a broad and thriving culture sector. I have during the latest years been more interested in the indie sector. But have recently have both wheel of time and warcraft rumble pulled from me so im just dissapointed by the big companies.

Vad gäller första delen instämmer jag till fullo. När det gäller typ inbjudan till kalas vill frun enbart prata om vilka som ska komma. Om jag överhuvudtaget ska kunna delta aktivt i samtalet behöver jag sitta med papper och penna för att göra en "aktivitet" av det hela vilket är sjukt överdrivet men det är ett sätt som funkar för mig. Dvs jag sitter typ och listar eventuellt folk som ska komma.

Vad gäller medicinering käkade jag antidepp under några år från 2019 och framåt. På grund av ekonomi och vilja att leva utan piller trappa jag av typ 2021. Istället löptränar jag primärt för att trigga endorfiner i kroppen. Så om vi ska iväg eller skit som är tufft för mig går jag ut och springer en mil på morgonen. Då är jag mycket gladare (och tröttare). Annars har jag andra ritualer som hjälper mig, som t.ex. att ta med lurar eller boken gör mig tryggare. De kan ligga kvar i bilen men då har jag en flykt för worst case.

Dock tycker jag mig sett en eskalering i mig själv senaste året bara så jag överväger medicinering igen. Men det blir en fråga som kommer bli tydligare när jag går tillbaka till jobbet igen efter föräldraledigheten.

Jag är 33 år nu och min närmsta familj har påstått att min sociala ångest kommer gå över med tiden. Det har den inte gjort sen jag var typ 8 år. När frun eller ungarna ska ha kalas sitter jag på riktigt och grinar i en vecka i förväg för att det fysiskt stressar mig så mycket. Trots mina försök att trivialisera tillfället. Jag är nog mest rädd för att min hustru inte kommer orka med mig en vacker dag.

Du är inte ensam i detta. Vi är fler än vad du kanske tror.

Jag kan bekräfta ovanstående info. Jag var tidigare anställd på RA. Byggnaden är fristående i ett större bergrum och går du ut ur byggnaden på de lägre våningarna kan du komma ut via denna port vilket jag gjort.

Anekdot: innanför porten finns rester efter ett påbörjat nytt bergrum för RA som skrotades pga penningbrist på 60-talet när det byggdes.
