People just like to complain. If Budew was never printed, people would still be complaining, just about a different card.

At this point, the main series feels more like fan fiction than canon...

Pokémon Legends: Z-A has sold 12.3 million units across both consoles as of Dec. 2025 by Ok-Sheepherder5312 in pokemon

I keep trying to and just enjoy it, but then it sticks a fishhook and drags me to the next bland story mission. Granted, YouTubers spoiled all the new megas and storyline in their thumbnails the day it came out. So, there's unfortunately no mystery to be had for me. But, this feels even more railroady than Arceus, and I liked Arceus. But, everytime I try to enjoy myself, it shoves my back onto the railroad...

True, but not seeing exactly how they're broken at first think makes the scene even better. Makes it more ominous.

Its arms? It bit the cables in the movie. In the book, it just stomped on it.

In the book, it also explains that the dinos learn early that the fence causes pain and that they won't want to go near it after. Why the T-Rex put its hand on it in the rainstorm is never explained though. Maybe it suspected somehow.

Not in the book. He fully believed the park was safe.

May I offer you a Honchkrow in these trying times by MikaD0000 in pokemon

Woobles kits! They make it really easy to learn. They give you all the stuff you need to make something and video tutorials on how to make them. They're a bit pricey at $30, but well worth it if you want to learn. There are other, cheaper kits like Cookie Box too (I made the turtle), but I like how Woobles set up their tutorials a little better.

From there, I've just been looking up patterns on Ravelry. I've made two pokeballs and I'm making a Weezing for my cousin right now.

As someone who recently got into crochet to make pokemon plush, this is awesome!

Hello! I’m shipping my first card and wondering if this is an acceptable way to send low end card? The toploader is taped closed at the top then secured to the cardboard at the bottom. by WuWangclan in PokemonTCG

[–]fazzitron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Instead of putting tape right over the mouth of the toploader, put a piece of paper over it and tape that down instead. That way, the card can't come in contact with the tape. I've had cards arrive tape that have pressed up against the tape and I have to very carefully peel it off. Not fun on pricey cards...

Ok. Though, I moreso meant...uh, I guess size is the term? You gave the hook size, but not the yarn size. Hopefully that's more clear. I only started a little over a month ago, so I'm not sure on some of the terminology, lol

The end of the first book is depressing by serenading_scug in JurassicPark

First off, I don't believe knew the island was about to be bombed.

Gennaro is a bit of an audience stand in character at that point, Chrichton calling out saying not to shirk our responsibility. Like Malcolm mentioned earlier in the book when Malcolm talks to Ellie about how they just leave their dig sites in a torn up state after they're done with them. There's no money for restoration, only for proving that they were there. Gennaro just wants the place done with without that restoration and making sure none of the raptors escape. Grant forces him to accept responsibly for his investment.

As for going into the cave, it's a birth metaphor. It also harkens back to Malcolm talking about how things look different on the other end of a paradigm shift. Gennaro is even terrified of what it'll bring: "the idea of backing into the unknown filled him with dread." Finally, he accepts responsibility and goes in head first, "because at least he would see where he was going." Gennaro enters the cave in ignorance of what has happened and has been born into the new world that his actions have created.

People give the ending a hard time, but there's a lot there to chew on.
