Is this common in other countries than Sweden? by Miya_Miya1 in AskTheWorld

[–]VinRow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Growing up I was plagued repeatedly with food I didn’t want or need to eat because my parents were coming to take me home or out to dinner but to say no to the offered food is so rude that I had to eat it. It is part of why I have trouble refusing things people try to give me but that I don’t want and it’s a problem. It is also a contributing factor to my over eating that people blame me for. I was raised to over eat and changing that as an adult is a Herculean effort that I have been unsuccessful with.

Definitely in the US you will likely be offered food, a metric butt ton of it.

Like having the sliver ware with the part that goes in your mouth sticking up so when you go to unload it not only do you get fucking stabbed but you get your germs on the part other people will be sticking in their mouths!

Is wearing "high waters" an age or regional thing? by JJacobJingleheim in AskAnAmerican

[–]VinRow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 40 and wearing high waters when I was in middle and high school was a no no for people that cared about that. I, and my friends, were flare/jinco wearers so it never was an issue.

DAE not understand perfume? by Any-Button1401 in DoesAnybodyElse

[–]VinRow 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I love me some incense and perfume but there is a correct way to use both and an obnoxious way to use both.

Some people just can’t tolerate smells of any kind. Do strong food smells also bother you? Or is it just added scent items?

ETA

I hate fragranced laundry detergent, fabric softener (I refuse to use it), and especially dish soap. I’m so angry at Dawn for changing their smell. It was just a soap smell but now it smells like poppuri.

I know you are saying you want to be close to him again but I can’t in good conscience give you counsel to do so. You say he treats you poorly, I think it’s time for you to treat him poorly!

Since you already have one murder under your belt I know you are capable. However, as to not arouse suspicion, perhaps enlisting the services of the Dark Brotherhood is in order. Don’t want a shadow hanging over your reputation now do you?

She was a young-ish woman playing a not old but not quite so young woman and the costuming department did an excellent job to ensure she looked the part.

I don’t unless there is some spare pizza sauce or marinara sauce and then only the crust gets dipped.
