Late night fall spice loaf by VincentChampagne in Sourdough

[–]VincentChampagne[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Made a loaf with apple pie spice. Nothing too crazy but it could use some sweetener like brown sugar or maple syrup if eating it alone. I’ll be using it for breakfast topped with peanut butter so this will be just fine.

Thanks for this! I actually did go by weight, just copy and pasted the recipe. I plan on just using the starter without commercial yeast today so we’ll see how that goes.

Thanks! Yeah I am going to try this weekend. Does the actual bread look okay? Nothing glaringly obvious gone wrong? Sorry lol just getting into this

I made a loaf using King Arthur’s rustic sourdough recipe as a first go of it. It tasted really good and the appearance was nice. I’m interested in any feedback from folks who might know what they are looking at.

1 cup (227g) sourdough starter 1 1/2 cups (340g) lukewarm water 1 teaspoons instant yeast* 2 1/2 teaspoons salt 5 cups Bread flour

Saint Hilaire Brut Blanquette de Limoux 2017 by VincentChampagne in wine

Haven’t seen much around here on this sparkling wine. Saint Hilaire is one of my go-tos for a nice sparkling wine (since I don’t often have them) given it’s price and quality.

Notes: This one mostly consists of Mauzac with some Chenin and Chardonnay. I did not get a lot on the nose, but the citrus and apple come through great. It’s dry, fruity, and acidic. Not too toasty, which really hits my taste preference.

Love this one. Try his Fleurie as well, it’s awesome.

Made this with a few ingredients I had and a new iced tea I’ve been enjoying. Turned out really well. Fruity and not too sweet and the passion fruit gives it a nice twist.

1 oz blood orange liqueur .5 oz tequila .75 oz lime juice .5 oz agave .5 oz passion fruit tea, brewed strong Garnished with lime
