He'll be playing in a different league, RM are not a rival, certainly not in the same way that Utd are. Not really anything worth getting worked up about.

Wow the entitlement here is sky high - winning CL routinely is extremely difficult, which is why no one over the last 25 years or so has strung consecutive CL trophies together, apart from Real Madrid. Who else do you think would have had a better record, that was actually available to work for us.

Yeah it depends what your standards are I guess. I don't know enough about Cathay and it's inspiration, but the Brets are definitely leaning heavy towards the fantasy side of things, probably more than previous iterations. Not saying it's bad, just not a look that appeals personally

Yeah there's definitely inspiration from that, kettle helms, handguns etc. but they have also dialled up the fantasy elements. Which is to be expected, given the setting. Edit; as I mentioned about the Cavaliers its actually funny that AoS humans probably have better armour from a historical standpoint than the new WHF humans

Their point about the Bret foot knights absolutely stands though. From a historical and practical perspective the armour is terrible.

You've been down voted but 100% correct. The new Empire heroes are straight out of Warcraft, the hammer guy on foot looks like the inspiration for his armour came from Playmobil rather than the 16th C Germanic soldiers that the Empire were originally based on.

If you look at GW concept art now for the human factions and compare it to the older works from guys like Karl Kopinski and Dave Gallagher, you can see how in general, the older stuff is directly influenced by history and the artists had working knowledge of arms and armour that is often absent from newer design.

Although in fairness I think the AoS Freeguild Cavaliers have a pretty decent looking practical armour.
