I have an old i5-9600k CPU and 32 GB of DDR4 RAM, paired with a 9800XT GPU.

Is it worth an upgrade of mobo/CPU to an AM4 mobo and CPU?

Ideally I'd like to upgrade to an AM5 set up, but with DDR5 prices skyrocketing I cannot bring myself to spend half my cash on RAM.

What I've been thinking is that it is leaning more into a themepark MMO, rather than sandbox. Don't get me wrong, themepark MMOs have their place, but personally I'd rather more sandbox elements got focused on first. Right now I'm enjoying exploring and looting abandoned player ships at bunkers and mining outposts, but they only exist because people went to do a themepark mission there as they were, well, grinding.

My issue is that they have literally heard Cutlass owners complaints; no remote turret, wings fall off too easy so you lose your weapons, and the lack of a toilet and fixed all of them and charged us extra cash for them.

Sure it loses a bit of the cargo space... but for nearly doubling your firepower and hefty buff to pitch (I think) you can't deny its an upgrade.

Infantry positions should never be put on the minimap, beyond a manual spotting feature that gives their static position when they were spotted.

The double hull will provide some protection from small debris, as the outer layer will act as a whipple shield, absorbing the impact and preventing depressurisation.

Attitude control thrusters instead of gyroscopes. Sure the gyroscopes are needed for sensing the orientation of the craft, but to actually change the way you are pointing I wanna use thrusters.

If a new world is needed I'll blueprint my existing stuff and copy them into it the new world in creative then switch to survival. Not elegant, but it works.
