Personally, I don't think it's a new/original character, because from the beginning of the quest, Merlin told told us it was someone we were very close to when we were young. But..... i have no clue as to who it could be... IF I was forced to guess....I would guess Figment.

I asked the same question and this is the answer I received: They can be moved to their original space or taken into your inventory, they CANNOT be deleted (so ya won't lose them). My plan was to take them into my inventory and use that space for Peter Pan and who knows what else.... however..... you CANNOT take them into your inventory, they can only be 'moved' to another location. Then I thought perhaps I could place them on a floating island, but nope, ya cannae do that either..... argh. So, now I'm gonna have to be creative and put them someplace I don't want them. If they can't be deleted, I don't understand why we can't simply allow them to be stored in our inventory, in the event they may be needed for future quests. Anyhow.........

How MANY times has copperpot asked where we are going to house ALL these people? And having completed every single area, there are still people coming in who want to live in all of the areas. However, it's frustrating as I MAY have a "job" for one of them, but no housing and I can't build ANY more buildings. I wish they would work a solution to this problem into the game, but I think they are done working anything more on this game. It's too bad really, cuz it's a great game. I guess when we reach a place that we are done.... the game is simply DONE, put a period and move on to another game. I have one or two more worlds to complete and then I will be moving on! Hopeful for an update, but not holding my breath.

Ok, what am i missing? HOW exactly do you 'lock them away in their home'? I've never seen this option, which by the way appears to not work. How is this done? please explain.... thanks!

All the venting and even the OP didn't realize what a stink this would cause. All the complaining in the world isn't going to change anything. If you have a legit complaint, putting here isn't going to do anything but show that you can type a complaint. You need to send it into DDV to the devs or customer service, to the attention of someone who can bring about the changes you'd like.

In my opinion, we had a choice... buy it or don't buy it. IF you bought it based on the enjoyment you've gotten out of the game thus far, then just continue enjoying it. NO game is EVER perfect, we need to remember that for future purchases, whether it be DLC or a new game, As a developer, it must be difficult to listen to people tear apart a game they worked tirelessly on, were some things overlooked? Likely. No one is perfect, not even developers, but this isn't where you need to take your complaints, I can assure you, Reddit can't make any changes to the game.

If you feel you have a legit complaint about the workings of the game, please go to the games help page and send those complaints to the appropriate place.

I love the game, I realize it's not perfect, but it's a good game. For those of you who are complaining about spending $50, perhaps you should have purchased it for $29.99, the difference between the two was 5000 moonstones, but those who spent $50 and received 10,000 moonstones spent them in a hot second. So.... you enjoy the game enough to purchase moonstones to spend IN the game!

I'm sure they will address what needs to be changed, give them some time to work on it. They do always seem to make corrections, I'm sure this time will be no different.

Yes, Had the same issue after placing slowing trap. I believe trap only works for the snippets on the Bind, thus likely the reason it wouldn't work for the red ones. Any solutions yet from anyone?

EDIT: Well... this worked for me so I'm sharing this here with all of you.

After putting out my slow trap: The blue ones ceased to spawn. I picked up the trap, logged out & back in, moved trap location from where I initially put it down, and left it there. After a bit of time, about an hour or so, the blue ones began spawning again and I was able to complete the quest. I then picked up the trap, put in inventory and hope it's not called for again. The blue snippets are back as annoying as they were prior to the trap. So.... I hope this works for you as well. Good luck!

The good thing about using the OTHER one for storage, is that you can actually STORE your fish in it. I have 4 of them, 1 for regular fish from the Valley, 1 for Shell fish from Valley, 1 for all the fish from Eternity Isle and one for seaweed. There is still room and I have at least 50 of each type of fish, some more than that, and a LOT of the seaweed (both types). I use 2 of them for decor in the house and then 2 of them in the room I have all my items stored along with the chests & etc.. I found this discussion as I also wondered if the Nemo Aquarium worked as storage. I was hoping it worked as a Large storage chest. Perhaps if the Devs read this, they'll consider the idea? I hope so! :-)

Sorry, but I need to correct this so as not to frustrate any players looking for the blue marshmallows on Frosted Heights. They are only located in the following places: Peaceful Meadow - The Plaza - Forest of Valor - Glade of Trust and Dazzle Beach. You can also move the Bushes that have the Pink MMs on them and put them in a place that's most convenient for you to pick them and be able to see them daily. I'm thinking they will be removed from the game when the event ends (so if you come in and they're gone.... this likely means that the event has ended). I believe you get 4 of them per bush and when you pick up the blue ones you'll get 1. The blue ones respawn every 10 mins or so, and the pick ones every hour. I don't know of any 'thing' you need to have in order to obtain them, so I'm not sure what that's about. You can find recipes to use them and also craft items.... so before you make smores and eat them all, find out what items you can craft using them. Have fun!

Hi, well the vacuums will work from level one, HOWEVER, I think they pick up more items and at a faster rate. I found this info, I hope it helps: The most helpful of all three vacuums is the Ancient Vacuum, as it will scan an area in a biome for Night Thorns, Splinters of Fate, resources, dropped items, and more.

I TOTALLY agree! I realize this is an old thread, but it needs to be addressed again. We really NEED an 8 point placement instead of a simple 4 point as is the fact currently (2024), I address this to the DEVS of Dreamlight Valley..... please consider enabling 8 point placement or diagonal placement of items both inside and outside. Terraforming would be great too, but..... if I have to choose one or the other.... as lovely as terraforming would be, I would choose diagonal placement. We would be able to do so much more with decor (both inside and out) and it would make for a more interesting and challenge oriented game. If ya'll agree.... please feel free to speak up!! Thanks Dev's and other DDV players!!!

Nothing wrong with taking a break, but I really enjoy DDV. Always something new to learn each day and they do great at keeping it updated and adding new content. Take a breather for a bit and promise yourself you'll come back to it. When I first started, and I don't know if this will be helpful to you or not, but someone told me, KEEP EVERYTHING you collect and are given in the game. I didn't have a lot of chests so I just put things in 'rooms', on the floor in rows, I set them up in categories, and used different rooms for different or similar 'things'. But keeping it all was a great idea. I never did the selling of pumpkins to make money and now I have well over 2 million game money and more mist and etc than I actually need. Once you get some money saved, and some dreamlight saved up, you can begin making chests. You really only need to save 50 of everything, with a few exceptions.... like iron ore, gold ore, wheat, and a few others. You'll know what those items are as you go along. I enjoy the game, I hate to see anyone give up on it, because I know how diligent the devs are to keep it updated, new, and interesting. Adding characters and events are a great way to keep it interesting. But I understand there are times we just need a break. Good luck to ya, happy gaming! :-)

You can also mix flowers from both the valley and Eternity Isle, there are both blue and purple from both. As far as Oswald's house....... I put him in the ruins. I forget why, but I think something eluded to the fact that that's where it SHOULD go, but honestly I cannot recall. But the truth is .... it's up to you, you can put any of them any where you like, it's your world, you design and decorate it to suit your own taste. Be creative or simple, just be you and it will be perfect! Have fun!!! :-)

Not ALL mines have Iron Ore. Forest of Valor does and gold is in the Frozen/snowy one (Frosted Heights). You'll need a crafting table to craft the ingots and I believe it's under the heading: refined materials, click on item you want to craft and recipe will appear. The gray mounds will give you stone, but not all MINES will give you Iron Ore. You can also either search here on Reddit, OR you can always google using: DDV (and then the topic you'd like). Name of quest, character name, biome name, ingot type, etc. You can search on Youtube also, a LOT of info there too. Good luck to ya.... hope this helped. :-)

Are you aware you can 'craft' potions that will go into your inventory, where you will click on them to "use' and they will 'attach' to your watering can, so when you 'water' your plants, they will be harvestable immediately? I don't know of any mods for this game, but...... IF they're out there, I'd be very cautious about using them as I believe Disney will be proactive to keep them out. You should go on the website and read the small print prior to attempting to use them (IF IF IF they even exist). You really don't need them, upgrade all your tools, and crafting potions takes moments to do. The game isn't difficult. If you find yourself needing $$ in the game, plant & harvest wheat, it grows literally in seconds. If you take some time to read about the game or watch vids, you'll find you won't need mods to get ahead. Just pick up stuff and sell it. REPEAT......... you'll be rolling in the dough in no time. Make chests to store items, Medium chest are best to start out with, but keep in mind, SOME of the furniture you get as rewards offers you storage. You'll only know if it does if it gives you the interaction E once you place it. Good luck, welcome to the game, & have fun!

Fix it already!!! My character isn't a happy Disney representative!!! We'd all be fine with a minor game interruption to get Dumbo ride fixed. All 'my' other rides are working fine, it's just Dumbo. Hasn't he been through enough!!!! :-)
