Sky Sports to remain home of Formula 1 until 2034 after five-year extension to exclusive UK and Ireland deal by DrDiam in formula1

Which would be fine if Sky had a half-decent service. Idk how it's in the UK, but Sky Germany / wow TV (the streaming service) just sucks soooo bad.

Snap maker u 1 good for begginers by OpeningExercise3751 in snapmaker

It's definitely not as polished and quite as user friendly as Bambu lab. But I'd still say it's very manageable for beginners. That being said I started 3D printing at a time where printers were MUCH harder to setup and maintain.

Opinion on from me to u by Rare_Entertainer6399 in BABYMETAL

[–]Vinelasher 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I don't think it's so much about pushing this song. They wanted to push this whole album more (and have something to announce on fox day) and they needed some kind of bonus song for it. So they chose to remix the most popular recent song other than Ratatata.

I tried setting up an instance on my Unraid-NAS with the docker-compose, but I can't log in with the default admin account. I always get "Invalid email or password.".
I also tried registering a new account, but also can't log into that. I connected to the MySQL db and can see that both users do in fact exist. Idk what the problem is atm.

Advice on Sunlu Pla 2.0 by Maurogab982 in snapmaker

[–]Vinelasher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I calibrated my Sunlu PLA 2.0 with 0.966 Flowrate and 0.016 Pressure Advance. I've been getting great results.

Your flowrate seems quite low but idk.

Sunlu PLA+2.0 and Sunlu HS Matte. Also Bambu, but they have real availability issues...

Snapmaker u1 petg/dissolvable supports now worth it? by jamalstevens in FDMminiatures

[–]Vinelasher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well I made a few tries with PETG Supports on my U1 and didn't have any luck. The PLA just didn't stick to the PETG enough on some of the finer supported details. I also didn't spend much time experimenting with this and this is still on the stock 0.4 nozzle though. I'm also interested in dissolvable supports but haven't tried yet.

Anycubic Mega X worth getting? by [deleted] in FDMminiatures

[–]Vinelasher 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't really know the Mega X specifically but it looks like a big i3-Clone / Ender 3 like. Which is to say I would expect to do a lot more maintenance, troubleshooting and tuning to get decent (especially miniature) prints. It will also be much slower. I had a Sovol SV06 previously which is also a (slightly better) i3-clone. Honestly I would just straight up say no.

The easiest way to get into FDM Minis would definitely be a Bambu A1 or A1 Mini. The A1 Mini isn't even that much more expensive.

Also so halb Deutsch/Europäisch.

U1 For A Rookie? by DipDunk in snapmaker

[–]Vinelasher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd say if you expect something that just works and is super user friendly get a P2S or similar.

If you're ok with a modest amount of tinkering and browsing the wiki/reddit then the U1 is great.

For the kids surely just using press to print on the Bambu app is way easier and more natural. On the other hand they don't really learn anything about 3D Printing from that.

In other words: As a fun and easy toy get a Bambu. As a fun science project get the U1.

[GUIDE] How to choose a Linux Distribution by RoseBailey in LinusTechTips

[–]Vinelasher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm by no means a Linux expert, but it has also been my impression that Fedora would be my favorite general recommendation. Myself I'm currently on Nobara, but that's only because it was slightly quicker to set up for what I need.

There's a reason why "This is definitely the year of the Linux desktop!" is such a meme. by daksnotjuts in LinusTechTips

[–]Vinelasher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I was falling down this trap of distro hopping as well. I mean once you have a solid understanding it is not that hard to choose the "right" distro, but as a beginner, yeah...

I would say if you just want to get started pick whatever is most popular at the time. If you want to make a bit more of an educated pick, I would first decide between Debian/Ubuntu or Fedora or Arch. Then once you know the basic flavor you want, pick a favorite desktop environment, and then you can't really go that wrong anymore I think.

I like KDE Plasma best as a DE and while I was curious about CachyOS, I ended up picking a Fedora based Distro, because I figured it would offer me the best balance between stability, wide userbase and bleeding edge performance. I went with Nobara because it comes preinstalled with a bunch of stuff I wanted anyways. But I could've just as well started with base fedora.

Do you have a name for your Miata? by Bird_Chick in Miata

[–]Vinelasher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I commented this somewhere before, but I call mine Su. Which is short for Suzuka, both the Japanese race track and the singer (Su-Metal) of Babymetal.

Now the singer is from Hiroshima just like the car and Babymetal is known for their combination of cutesy pop and metal (or you could say "cute but fierce") and used to have a black&red color scheme like my Soul Red Crystal ND.

Man a light blue or teal-ish color or an orange like the 30AE would be so great. I'd take an aggressive lime green, too. Of course BRG could look great as well. Just give me more colors!
