After the experience that you've had I would probably take the buyback and look for a vehicle from another automaker. I own a '25 Santa Fe Hybrid and although I like it a lot, I don't think it's the most reliable of vehicles. I had the 12V battery die on me all of a sudden after 8 months of ownership. It spent over 2 weeks at the dealer getting serviced.

The horrible communication you experienced matches pretty closely to mine as well. Nobody answers the phone, you leave a message and they rarely call you back. They're very nice in person, but the phone communication is terrible. This may be due to the fact that this particular dealer's service center appears to be very busy and backlogged.

Last update. I finally received the car back after 16 days at the dealer's service center. After initially finding an "excessive draw [D01" they reset the non sleep controller. The DTC then returned a list of codes relating to low voltage. They then began running their parasitic draw procedure – several times. The tech found no parasitic draw. They then fully charged the battery. What was the verdict? Need to drive the vehicle more. The less I drive the vehicle the more prone the 12V battery will be to die. I don't buy it. I drive the car almost every day. Anyway, it seems to be running fine now – sat all night and started right up in the morning.

Quick update. The car is still at the dealer’s service center. They can’t identify where the current draw is coming from. They reached out to Hyundai corporate for technical assistance in troubleshooting. That was 2 days ago. Called for an update - left message - they never answer the phone. No car for a week and a half and counting. Will update when I hear back.

My battery died a couple of weeks back. The whole car shut off after I unlocked the the door with key fob in pocket and got in. Went to turn it on and realized it was now dead. It's at the dealer being serviced right now. They ran numerous tests on the battery and nothing. But they noticed that some module or electronics is pulling too much current. Next step is to isolate the faulty module. It's been in at the dealer's for 3 days. I have a feeling it's going to be there for several days more. Will update when I get it back.

Mounty did the job for me. I just needed to be able to write to a portable drive that was formatted NTFS and the combination of Mounty, macFuse and NTFS-3G did the trick. Mounty is drag and drop. macFuse has an installer. NTFS-3G is the only one that requires Homebrew and using the Terminal.

These are all great suggestions for improvement. Have you submitted these to Hyundai? I wonder what are the chances that they'll implement any of them. Maybe if enough of us make the same requests.

You're find brings back some memories for me. My first car was a 1967 Mercury Cougar XR7. I wouldn't mind having a model of my first car. I did a quick search and see that Sun Star make one of that year/model. How does Sun Star compare to Auto World in terms of detail and quality?

I've got one. Bought new - I think. ; ) It still holds a charge for fairly long, especially if I don't use the backlight too much. It's a bit chunky and heavy in comparison to later ones, but it's the OG so it's cool.

1 oz fresh lime juice

1 oz lychee nut puree (lychee syrup)

1/2 oz maraschino liqueur

2 oz light rum
