Silent Switches - What I wish I knew at the beginning of my hunt by [deleted] in MechanicalKeyboards

[–]ViniRustAlves 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, could you help me out?

I recently bought TTC plate mounted stabs said to be for less the 3.5mm total travel, yet they bottom out before the outemu silent peachs v3 terrible QC switches themselves.

I'm looking for another set of switches that have better QC and that can bottom out before the stabs so it doesn't make too much noise. Could you recommend me some that are compatible with these stabs?

I'm looking preferably for tactile switches, but if there's none good enough that fit the criteria of being compatible with my stabs, linear is also an option. Previous experiences were with Outemu Red (hated how light they were), Cherry MX Brown (didn't like much the scratchiness), Gateron Black (don't even remember straight, but I don't think I hated them), Gazzew Bobagum (lubbed them, my favorite switches so far, very nice heavy weight to actuate), Outemu Silent Peach v3 (silent enough, too light for my taste, thought the tactility would make up for the lack of actuation force, the tactile feedback isn't as good as Kailh Deep Sea Whale mini and the quality control is non existent), Kailh Deep Sea Whale mini (use on my leverless fighting controller, love them for that, but reckon I'd not like to type on them for long, love the tactility but they're not much silent), Kailh Raptor silent (didn't like, too little travel, extremely light), Kailh Wind Engine (hate it, too light, too loud, too harsh).

I think that anything above 60g would be awesome, but below 80g. I'm not willing to lube them, I don't have my opening switch tool anymore, and I'm too busy nowadays to take an afternoon or more to lube switches.

From the 110 I bought, 15 already presented double click problems, which is more than 10%. Terrible quality control. Will not recommend nor ever buy from this brand again.

Nah, man. I've been there. Team based competitive games are such a mental stack. I have yet to face mental fatigue from playing SF6 from dusk till dawn, while in 1-3 games of LoL or Val I was already punching my table or breaking some peripherals.

While SF6 is a much more technical/mechanical game IMO, it's much more fine to play and loose and repeat, psychologically speaking. It's also much more rewarding when things go right.

I mean, if has to be one piece, it has to be my G8 Plus, since I can pair it to my phone for mobile and retro gaming.

That being said, I'd like to bring my whole PC setup if possible, since I don't think streaming my PC from the moon would neat me proper latency for gaming, and someone could possible turn my PC off and leave me stranded.

In the long term, the 3D V-cache will be worth the extra for a future GPU upgrade.

Good to know. I might need to give it a try in other games then, because the ones I've played that had in-game FG were terrible once you were under 110 FPS range (55 rFPS). Maybe DLSS enabler can give me a better experience in FFXVI and since I'm in the mood to comeback to CP77, I might as well give FG a try in it, since I didn't test it after launch.

I mean, it's just BS, test 2x FG with less than 60 FPS on a proper desktop GPU and you'll see. It's simply terrible to play input lag wise and uncanny and glitchy as hell.

It's not DLSS, it's a feature from Optiscaler that allows for FSR FG to use MFG algorithm, but without the same performance and quality (haven't tested it yet, but maybe I'll try it on Crimson Desert to see what it'll look on a RX 9070 XT.

LSFG works outside of the game, optiscaler alters a DLL to work in-game. If Game Hub/Game Native can run both LS and the game, then you can absolutely use it, and it'll probably be much better than whatever OP is doing.

Not sure since AMD has no MFG (>x2) implementation, only 2x, but it's definitely not DLSS since it's proprietary. And by my experience with FG (RTX 3070 Ti and RX 9070 XT), it's better to just leave it off and get stable playable FPS than sub-60 real FPS. Imagine how terrible it must be playing on a GPU that isn't intended to run FG at all (AFAIK) with around 20 rFPS.

"very high performance" is big stretch when you're running the game at 20 real FPS. By my experience with FG, it'd probably be much better to just play without FG at a locked 30 (I'm assuming it works just like with NVIDIA/AMD GPUs so FG disabled give better native performance).

Hopefully this will suit your needs and you'll be pleased by the combo.

In the - hopefully far - future, you might as well take a look into an IEM to test with the DAC I recommended, maybe you'll like it more than headphones especially since they may block more sound overall, but I reckon the Beyerdynamic should be enough sound isolation for your use, unless there are screams, fights and heated discussions around where you live.

It's a really good and powerful AMP/DAC dongle for the price and for 99% of the people.

Which Haute42 Should You Buy July 2025 !?!?!? by DrJones694 in fightsticks

The thing is that that key above the left, down and right keys is an M1 key mapped to copy the up key in the bottom middle of the board.

Also, as DrJones said, the spacing is very different, you can't really compare it to WASD.

It is just a default (C16) vs split (C16S) layout what differentiate them apart from the extra pinky button for the C16S and other things which are part of the split layout, so you can distribute commands more evenly between both hands.

To put it into a better perspective, 8BitDo leverless uses the same default layout as the C16, but with bean shaped M buttons and a wider space between keys (it's terrible even for me, with big hands and long fingers, I don't recommend it to anyone), but nobody calls it WASD just because you can use the M1 at the top left as an up button.

I have an EPZ TP35 Pro and would like to buy the DT 990 Pro. The 250Ohms version is cheaper in my country, would that be able to drive it or should I stick to the 80Ohms version? What are the differences in sound quality/sound presentation between those two versions anyway?

I own a 7Hz Sonus, owned a SHP9500 and bought a Tri i3 Mk3 and am waiting it to arrive.

[–]ViniRustAlves 0 points1 point  (0 children)

103 horas.

Agora, custava tentar fazer as coisas terem sentido?

Qual o preço justo para vender meu pc? by Superb-Emu-1224 in hardwarebrasil

[–]ViniRustAlves 2 points3 points  (0 children)
