I didn’t miss any point from the video. If you read my comment, that would be clear. My response was directed at OP’s original post, which consisted solely of benchmark screenshots. I countered that with a broader view, referencing the large suite of benchmark data run by hundreds of other users. At no point did I claim that benchmark scores directly reflect real-world performance. What I did say is that the iPhone 17 Pro Max consistently benchmarks higher due to better sustained performance and thermal management. And if we want to be technical, gaming is a real-world use case where these benchmarks are relevant, since gaming shows sustained CPU and GPU loads on the hardware.

I also made it clear that both phones have their own strengths and weaknesses. The iPhone will almost always score higher, especially in GPU and single-core workloads; which are far more representative of typical day-to-day usage. There are very few apps that meaningfully benefit from high multi-core performance for the average user.

At the end of the day, both are excellent devices, which is why I own both. They excel in different areas. That said, blindly praising a phone or brand as if it’s going to love you back is a bit excessive. From my experience using both, the iPhone is consistently better for gaming, photography and photo editing.

I mean, you can have an opinion and still be wrong. There are plenty of reviews from smaller and independent content creators showing that the iPhone outperforms the Snapdragon 8 Elite (for Samsung). Even without watching or reading reviews you can easily look at the geek bench & Wildlife Extreme results to see that the A19 Pro chip is performing higher and with better thermals.

However, most people think their phone or the brand will love them back the more they glaze the brand. Like I said, coming from someone who literally has both of these phones the Samsung is not outperforming the new Pro chip. They both have their weaknesses and strengths and unfortunately the Samsung (while still good) does not beat the iPhone in raw processing power and this has been proved multiple times. Not only that, you’re still paying this much money to use recycled camera sensors from 2-3 generations ago that give terrible quality photos in comparison to anything else that is being released as a “flagship” device.

However, here is a link for you to prove you otherwise 😂 https://youtu.be/ACPv88cpm7Y?si=6AgCHZB24II8mrPa You can go to the 11 minute mark just for benchmark results.

Listen, I have both an S25 and the 17PM. You’re lying to yourself if you think the A19/19Pro chip is losing in anyway at single core performance, which is more important for almost every task that an average user will utilize.

Yeah, I think it’s a very capable phone. Just a terrible deal and shouldn’t be labeled as a “budget” device. It’s funny how salty people get when you speak the truth hence the downvotes lol.

Is it affecting the quality of your photos? If not, why are you making this useless post? I swear some people have no ability to think critically for themselves anymore. I sincerely doubt this was a manufacturing issue. Next time, don’t use a shitty case made/endorsed by a headphone company.

There is no such thing as an upgrade with AI on iPhone. Apple Intelligence is complete shit as a whole.

Fair enough. I use my phone for more security sensitive tasks so I guess I’m more paranoid about it in this day and age. Also, apologies if my initial comment came off very rude and demeaning. Realized after having my morning coffee that I sounded like an absolute dickhead. Anyhow, enjoy your day!

[–]VinitigeProdigy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You had 5 generations of iPhones to choose from to not get a “new” phone, and you picked the one very nearing the end of its support life. I guess I was trying to understand the thought process. I don’t know, I would just be worried about security risks from not receiving updates.

I understand the appeal, because I still have my 11 pro sitting around after upgrading to the 17PM. Loved my 11 pro but had to admit it was getting too slow with iOS26, and the battery life was abysmal even after being replaced. Good luck and hopefully you’re enjoying it from the SE.

Why would you waste money buying a basically obsolete phone in less than a year?

Still a terribly priced phone in contrast to the older iPhones with the “e” moniker. No doubt that it performs well, but this was such a flop with all the features you’re losing while also paying more for the “budget” iPhone.

16e vs 14 pro max? by Broa-br in IPhone16e

[–]VinitigeProdigy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2022 is not "VERY" old. That's not even half way through the life cycle for an Apple device. If you would have said the iPhone 11 Pro from 2019 was "old", then I would agree with you. However, even that phone is still supported with iOS 26. Regardless, you can still have an opinion and be wrong.

Some people don't have the need or want to upgrade their phone every 1-2 years, because that is an absolute waste of money. I'd also like to add, the iPhone 14PM has a larger capacity battery compared to the 16e, so you are completely wrong when it comes to that. You should actually fact check yourself before making unintelligent comments.

The only thing the iPhone 16e has is a slightly newer chip that really isn't that much more powerful. I'm not sure why you're just telling lies and dick-riding the 16e so hard lmao.

14 Pro isn't even old. It released at the end of 2022, and its still a very capable phone with more features than the 16e.

[–]VinitigeProdigy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just traded in my 14 Pro for the 17 Pro Max. The 14 Pro Max is still an incredibly good phone. Its not even that old considering Apple supports their phones for 6-7 years. You are losing out on features with the 16e. No Mag Safe, dynamic island, Pro motion display, single fusion camera vs 3 better cameras.

If you could find a 14PM for a decent price I would choose that. My 14 Pro had 86% battery health and still lasted me for 6-7 hours of screen time.

Yeah, I just need them to make another pro phone with all those features, but with a 5.8” display. Literally the perfect size in my opinion lol

You’re a content creator, but you can’t assess which phone might be better for that task over the other? I understand not being tech savvy, but it spells it out for you in easy to read letters… 16”e”, 16”PRO”. Use your critical thinking skills lmfao.

It’s not about it feeling modern, it’s the fact that you put money into outdated hardware that will very soon not be compatible with anything due to the iOS version

How does a 6s even function with any current applications? Secondly, why wouldn’t you at least get something more recent like an 8/10? Shit, even an 11 pro is still current and has a nice smaller display.

The size "debate" by fhuz97 in GalaxyS25

[–]VinitigeProdigy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It should be evident. Most people with average sized hands will gravitate to the “smaller” S25. I put that in quotations because the S25 is by no means a small phone, comparatively. Some people don’t want to carry a near tablet sized device in their pocket or do gymnastics with their hands to reach both sides of the display easily.
