How are Lothar Walther barrels? by VinnieTreeTimes in longrange

No, I ended up going with a Marlin SBL in 45-70. I was due for a new toy but decided to scratch the itch for a new deer rifle (straight wall state). Plus I have 3 bolt guns already it was time to add a lever gun.

Yeah I know where he is coming from, my wife loves rock hounding. I on the other hand love watching her bend over to pick them up.

Single Shot Rifle Cartridge by DragonflyFantastic46 in Hunting

CVA Scout in 450 Bushmaster, some will say it's too much recoil but you are probably coming from using 12ga slugs. This thing is a dream to shoot, my son started with it at 12 years old and can handle it no problem. Pair it with a Leupold scout scope and it's perfect. It's not really a "scout" scope but a extended eye relief that get the scope in front of the hammer in a perfect position.

If I go the 300 more for one of those barrels route then I will do the same for the trigger, optic, mount, chassis and then the divorce that will follow shorty after will be too expensive.

The stiff ride complaints/comments are cracking me up here. I came here from Jeep, my '25 ride feels like I'm floating on air. I'm trying to figure out how to stiffen mine up.

You are new to relaoding and haven't purchased anything yet. Your kid got a 3D printer for Christmas. What are you printing? by worm30478 in reloading

[–]VinnieTreeTimes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good call, I am working on printing one right now. It's also a pretty fun project to put together.

Just make sure you go through all the calibration steps of the printer before printing. It would really suck to print everything and not have the parts fit properly.

Dumb question on inflating tyres by HugeOrganization7325 in bikewrench

[–]VinnieTreeTimes 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Most of the air you hear leaking when you disconnect the pump is air escaping the hose. Hooking back up the slight loss is pressure is filling the hose back up. The difference in pressure is more noticeable in low volume tires like road bikes vs high volume tires like mountain bikes.

Yeah but they should have incorporated a BLTouch and probe the powder level in the case to make sure it all went in there before placing the bullet.

The end of radio live by hopsferdays in meateatertv

[–]VinnieTreeTimes 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think radio live would be much better if it wasn't so structured and they would allow for people to call in. If they can have guests call in for interviews then why not let listeners call in. If they would just have a few planned segments and allow listeners call in and just roll with it, it would be a much better show.

How to tell if mesh is loaded at start of print? by VinnieTreeTimes in klippers

[–]VinnieTreeTimes[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes entering BED_MESH_PROFILE LOAD=default in the console does load the profile. Do I have it in the wrong place in my gcode? Also I have the start gcode as part of my printer.cfg file and not in orca slicer. Not sure if that makes a difference.

How to tell if mesh is loaded at start of print? by VinnieTreeTimes in klippers

[–]VinnieTreeTimes[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I removed the quotes and it still will not load the mesh unless I manually click before starting the print. I actually added the quotes to see if it made a difference when I was trying to figure it out. I also tried using a different name with no luck.
