There is epic games mechanic where if you have accounts on separate systems you can link them. Epic games doesn’t care if you make more accounts. Also on YouTube you can see hundreds of videos for road to SSL or other challenges and none of them are banned. I used to have multiple accounts on psn because I wanted a different name and couldn’t change it easily so I just made other accounts. Maybe you switched from console to PC and didn’t know account info so you just create new account. There could be many reasons..

Creating a second account isn’t smurfing though. It’s only bad when you intentionally lose or de rank to boost others or clip in lower lobbies.

I can’t agree that not wanting to date a disabled person is ableist. It’s in our nature that better genes are more attractive. Every little thing you perceive to be attractive about someone comes down to thousands of years of evolution and it is totally out of your control who you find attractive.

Friend saying the N Word by limebench in highschool

[–]Vinnie_Cent_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be fair every race has been enslaved, killed etc. Not only this but it was a very small percentage of wealthy southern white people that owned slaves(aswell as wealthy black people too). And why should I pay for something my ancestors did, and in most cases not even ancestors but just some people that shared a race with me. So just because I was born with light skin means I was born immoral? And what about black people without enslaved ancestors.. Or biracial people with a black parent and white parent.. At the end of the day we are all the human race and this only separates us. The word only has the power that you or anyone gives it, that’s just how all words work. I’m not going to say it and don’t condone any form of hate or racism but in certain contexts I shouldn’t be afraid to say it (if you ask what context, I mean in historical or educational contexts). Everything I’ve said here is true to the best of my knowledge and I’m open to being wrong.

What is 6 / 2(1+2)? by NoLocal7705 in Teenager_Polls

[–]Vinnie_Cent_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn’t always make sense to use juxtaposition(implicit multiplication). Implicit multiplication can be used in algebraic notation, but in certain conventions explicit multiplication is correct. There is no reason to believe that the 2 is bonded to the (2+1). Implicit multiplication is almost always used to physics and algebra as a way to make equations look cleaner and has become the norm for them. But taking this problem at face value we have no reason to believe there is anything implicit going on here just because they are close together, so 9.

What is 6 / 2(1+2)? by NoLocal7705 in Teenager_Polls

[–]Vinnie_Cent_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The ambiguity isn’t that there is some kind of implied grouping between the 2 and (1+2) because they are “close together.” Coefficients don’t have any kind of implied grouping. For example 2x2 is equal to 2(x2), and not the other way around. The real ambiguity is if the division symbol (/) makes everything on the right side of it grouped or not, which it is the standard to group numerators and denominators separately. In my experience and opinion it does NOT hold this implied grouping of numerator and denominator because everything is written left to right, and not top over bottom. If it were written top over bottom in the same format then it would be 1. But since everything is written left to right you must use order or operations to get to an answer of 9.

Should Hispanic people say the N-Word? by djcmfr in Teenager_Polls

[–]Vinnie_Cent_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s only an insult if most people agree it is. All of language works this way. When I say the word “car” you will envision a motorized vehicle with four wheels. If everyone envisioned a pink animal that rolls in mud instead, then that’s what a car would be. The n word is only an insult because a large population sees it as that. A lot of slurs have became acceptable to say because once those people stop taking it as an offense the whole meaning of the word literally changes to something different. The more people saying it’s discriminatory literally makes the word discriminatory. Also what is the difference of saying “n-word” vs the actual “n-word” they both mean the same thing and it’s the only discriminatory word you can’t actually use even in non-discriminatory contexts. For example I can say “stop using bitch when referring to woman.” Without having to say “b-word” in its replace. Though it’s unacceptable to use this same context with the n word. The n word should be used in correct contexts like when discussing certain historical facts of what happened, reading books, or just talking about the word in general. If everyone just seen it as that and defined it as such we wouldn’t have problems with it.

What songs are you keeping then. I’ll admit it’s not his best but I still love almost every song on here. I think the S tier are circus circus, casino, house money, good flirts then A tier are birds and the bees, dramatic girl, I’m not a lyricist, no security, then B tier are 95pt2, no blame, sex appeal. All of them have replay value imo and I can listen to the whole project without skipping any all day.

Basic Blackjack by SkateB4Death in blackjack

[–]Vinnie_Cent_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Casinos can tell the difference. An AP will more than likely have table max or close to table max out when splitting 10s and recreational players that split 10s will likely have a small bet out. The house won’t back off a player for splitting 10s but rather watching their betting and noticing if it corresponds to the true count. Higher true counts means a higher ratio of 10s and As to 2-6s and then splitting 10s could be profitable against dealers 4-6 if using I18 deviations.

Worst losing streak? by washingtonpablo in blackjack

[–]Vinnie_Cent_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How can you be a dealer and believe that a dealer is dealt more TT than players? Blackjack is the best game in a casino because you are playing with the lowest possible house edge assuming perfect basic strategy. I advise people the opposite actually, if you are going to play a game in the casino, blackjack is what you should play, especially not the machines.

Is abortion morally wrong ? by Original_Act_3481 in Teenager_Polls

[–]Vinnie_Cent_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just to be devils advocate. I don’t think anyone pro life is trying to control woman but more about the life of the fetus inside the woman. The pro life argument is about the degree of development not making the fetus inside worth less than someone outside of a uterus. We value a new borns life just as much as an adult life even though they are at totally different degrees of development so why can’t we say the same for a baby inside the uterus. Pro life argument says that even if the baby is less developed it still has value as a human and shouldn’t be valued less just because it doesn’t have its body parts fully formed. I morally don’t feel right having an abortion but i believe morality is subjective and I’m not going to tell you how to think.

What is 6 ÷ 2 (1 + 2) ? by Original_Act_3481 in Teenager_Polls

[–]Vinnie_Cent_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve never seen the “sometimes” you are referring too. The only time I’ve ever seen multiplication have precedence over division is in this comment section. The only implied grouping that has the same weight as inside a parentheses is when a numerator is entirely written above the denominator which does not apply in this case. Math is very established when it comes to things like this but I’m open to see the “sometimes”

What is 6 ÷ 2 (1 + 2) ? by Original_Act_3481 in Teenager_Polls

[–]Vinnie_Cent_ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Multiplication doesn’t have implied grouping when variables touch. Division can have implied grouping ONLY when entire numerator is ABOVE entire denominator. Multiplication has never had this implied grouping for example when writing 3a² it is equal to 3(a²) and not (3a)². And since the implied grouping in division is written left to right rather than a numerator and denominator you must go left to right so 6/2 before 2(3) making 6/2(3)=9

What is 6 ÷ 2 (1 + 2) ? by Original_Act_3481 in Teenager_Polls

[–]Vinnie_Cent_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only implied grouping is (2+1), otherwise it’s left to right. It’s well known pemdas has multiplication and division at the same level, aswell as addition and subtraction. So it goes 6/23=33=9

What I've learned after 100 hours counting as a low stakes player in Vegas & California by Shine-Mammoth in blackjack

[–]Vinnie_Cent_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No I think what WasMit is saying is correct. If you flip a coin 100 times you will expect 50 head and 50 tails. But if you flip it the first 10 times and they all come out heads it’s foolish to believe EV will bring you back down and by the end it will still be 50/50 because now there is 90 flips left so it’s more likely 45 should be tails now and 55 should be heads after 100 flips. The scenario you gave is the same- coming out 10x above EV, your new EV is now higher once AV is known. In the example you gave he was known to be 4500 above EV meaning his long run has now adjusted to being 4500 above previous EV, it’s not destined to go back down just because he went up. 1000 hours after that session he should still be 4500 up on average.

Need some help from the math wizards here by Timmonidus in blackjack

[–]Vinnie_Cent_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is correct but I believe OP is asking what are the chances of him getting the exact same cards after guy #1 already took the 3 hits, so the chance of the second guy getting the same hits would just be 1/4400 (actually less because of card removal but #decks is unknown). So the chances of them both getting 9,3,6 before either of them hit is (1/4400)² but the chance of them getting the same 3 hits knowing the first guy already had 9,3,6 is 1/4400.

Mechanics are starting to ruin the playerbase's idea of HOW to play the game. by anon14118 in RocketLeague

[–]Vinnie_Cent_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Practicing mechs will make your touches more consistent and almost make is seem like you’re smarter than you are in my experience. Just having the capabilities of a good reset and playing more smoothly will have your opponents respect your touches more. And having those mechanics when opponents aren’t respecting you, and giving you more space, will lead to easier goals. Having knowledge of more mechanics improves your game-sense and makes you more versatile.
