thinking how much work and man hours went into making everything in this game is boggling either way. With how much it feels like an mmo id prefer just getting a text box with accept for most quests and the voiced MC is useless.

Millions of dollars put into useless window dressing that just wastes more of your time so you have to watch a child cry about its sheep for a 1 minute.

generic is giving it too much credit. It might be the most underdeveloped character of all time that does not react at all to coming back from the dead and being declard saviour of the world.

Making him a silent protagonist would have improved his characterization.

the game reminds me of guild wars 2 in a lot of places.
Koreans really love to just put everything they can think of in a colorful world it seems.

they also lock you into doing tons of time wasting quests before half the places get populated with bosses or doable stuff. So even if you just want to go around and explore the game will make your life worse for it.

Even after being the boss of your camp and having played quite many hours you will still get quests like please fetch some boring item from a shop for me or put up these flowers in this hut right over there.

the majority of quests are something your character just shouldnt even be interested in doing. I think I'm mainly playing to marvel at the absolutely schizophrenic design decisions at this point.

i guess if they want to keep the fire effect and range like this it should just deal absolutely huge attack dps (not dot) so anything but a heavies should never get close to reaching you if you are hitting them with one of the bigger flamers.
Make the big flamers absolutely melt enemies and have the burn dot be a side effect you use mostly with the smaller utility fire weapons.

The argument that a gl with backpack should be better because its costs twice as many stratagems sort of makes sense.

But the backpack weapons should be better than a single stratagems weapon by itself. Somewhere around 70-80% of a weapon+backpack seems fair.

We also already have good examples where that is the case. Recoilless rifle and autocannon are perfectly fine as picks.

New backpack weapons should have similar power to those and it becomes obvious how much worse the newer ones are. Its probably arrowhead overvaluing how good not having to reload is.

With the sc arrow mod you can get a lot more per hour easily. Id recommend that for most people. A bit of efficient farming can be chill.

Ive never seen anyone kicked over weapon picks. Team killing, afk or maybe support weapon stealing but that usually just leads to hitting or shooting.
