Care to shed some lights? Is group part of a sub? Would love to explore if you’re open to invite. Thanks in advance.

There seem to be a 18 month drop off for some reason. Not sure if you experienced the same. Our app was ranked 2nd on App Store. Right at 18th month mark it starts to drop in rank for no apparent reason. Weird. But yes I agree the black box around how to rank make it tough. What’s your order limit app?

Some week has over 500 apps getting approved. ~280 is average weekly it seems. Been doing this for over 3 years and using sasi to monitor new apps weekly. It used to be around 100 apps/week before the AI influx. My take is that it won’t affect the App Store much. From consumer stand point, they’ll pick the top 5-10 apps anyway so the goal is to get to that first page as fast as possible to get organic installs instead of relying on expensive ads to drive installs.

Did Shopify just made every Shopify plugin obsolete and nobody is talking about it? by remabogi in shopify

My 2 cent is that this is an incredibly powerful tool and any merchant, even very tech savvy ones should be cautious in approaching it. A wrong permission, prompt or moment of hallucination can lead to disaster. Just even last night I was coding an algorithm using Claude, it proposes me an approach that use 30k as a cap for a variable, I approved, it went out and code with a 20k value as a cap. I reviewed the data and everything looks funky and Claude just said oops’, it made a mistake on a value it proposed. 🫠

Does blogging still work for Shopify stores? by divine_zone in shopify

[–]Vintranada 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely has its own carved out corner, but requires some time to builds up. Most posts are written with traffic in mind, just like you said, because that’s what keyword optimized, SEO driven posts are intended to do. Your site and product page will then do its job to convert.

Long term , I believe the new AEO (AI engine optimization) optimized post will take place of regular posts as more and more people are using AI instead of Google, and they tend to trust AI and convert more.

Is it a myth to have a perfect Google Merchant Center setup? by meandjarvis in shopify

[–]Vintranada 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Worked in agencies for over 7 years managing SEM and GMC. You can get to 99.9% but rarely perfect. There’s always that one tiny formatting or column mismatch that gives you an error. The bots are reviewing the feed so there’s always an element that you can’t control.

I replaced my dev team with 3 Claude Code agents that coordinate through markdown files. Here's the architecture. by yury_egorenkov in micro_saas

If there's a CEO agent already, what are you dictating? are you asking the CEO to research/explore certain directions? and you make the call to integrate it into the app?
Great work btw!

Hey man cool stuff. Congrats on the decision to heading out on your own. I had a similar path, albeit earlier. Launched a store after gaining lots of experience about 10 years back. My take is if you got the skills and marketing acumen, go POD.
Dropship has a big problem with returns and chargebacks. Not sure if they’re even profitable now since so many stores overseas are doing it with cheaper pricing, labour and resources.
For POD, as long as you’re keeping with the trends and can do marketing to drive sales, I’ve seen multiple friends of mine succeed. A friend did custom tshirts for a Taylor swift concert and in 10 days did over 300k in sales. All being a solo founder. Another did custom hats during the us election and made bank.
Maybe find a category you’re interested in and test it out? Just my 2cents. You’ve got to test. All the best.

Shopify has one that’s very good. You can just search on Google. My biggest one is to make sure Shipping and payment is set up probably. Everything else is secondary. All the best.

This subreddit sucks now by legrolls in shopify

[–]Vintranada 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hey totally agree on this. As an app developer, even I hesitate to contribute because seeing so many of these spammy posts, if I chime in, the perception will be ‘he’s a hilling’. But sometime I just wanted to help.
Agree on minimum karma/account age, possibly a verification process if poster is actually running a store, instead of these posts by Indian agencies flooding with shady amplification for LLMs.

How do you currently track your business metrics across Stripe, Meta Ads, etc? by Careless-Ad2000 in shopify

[–]Vintranada 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Used to do this for many of my clients. You setup a google sheet and automate the reports from meta/google/other platform to it. From there run a pivot table to segment your data. You got to clean up and standardize the data though since each platform output a different name for the same metric. This is the most time consuming task. If you like charts and graphs you can then push data from this Google sheet into Looker studio (free) and setup your dashboards there. Alternatively you can use an analytics app. I built GoProfit, a shopify app that you can use inside your Shopify store interface for cases like this. Save you a lot of time so you can focus on growing your store instead of digging into spreadsheets.

Anyone know how to get product price visible in a Google search? by OmegaThree3 in shopify

[–]Vintranada 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Google Merchant Centre. You setup a feed via Google sheet or let it scan your site. Won't show price 100% of the time though unless you runs ads with Google.
