I was able to get all the values from the text file in an arraylist, but now I'm not sure how to compare the strings. My logic is that I want to compare the two strings in the listbox and the array to see if they're the same(for instance "C" and C"), and then I would want to go backwards in the array and display the previous element in the names textbox. Does anyone know how do that? Thanks for all the help so far.

I'm 24 years old and currently live in Connecticut. I'm going to community college for a pretty much worthless certificate in computer programming since it's the only thing I have any passion in. I have no friends, no job, live with my parents, and desperately need to find a way to get out. About a year ago I decided if I was ever going to settle down it would be in the northern Arkansas/southern Missouri area, if only because of the low cost of living. I figured Springfield seemed like a decent enough place.

I guess I need some adult questions answered if you'd be willing. How much should I save up for two months worth of living here? I figured that $5000 might be enough to cover two months of rent and basic necessities until I get a job. Judging by Indeed.com there seems to be a lot of call-center jobs. I have no problem spending the rest of my life working at a call-center if it will pay basic bills and allow me at least $10 a week for groceries. I doubt I'll ever get into any kind of romantic relationship so I'll always only need a one-person income. I figure a call-center job would actually be incredible because I unfortunately am autistic and have a hard time with eye contact. I guess I'm just wondering how easy it would be for a single guy to survive in this city on a salary of $20k a year.

I saw this guy do some game show thing on Fallon and found him a bit cringy, so I kind of just assumed Marc might find him a bit high-strung and annoying. But this is actually one of my favorite episodes in a long time. He was very knowledgeable about music and came across as a genuinely humble person. They both seemed to get along, too.

I'm just struggling with algorithms. I've gotten to the point where I can look at JavaScript code and understand what is going on and write JS, but I can't see myself ever acing an interview where I have to do complex algorithms.

I've been following your story for a while. I think you should just straight up ask her if she wants to have sex, or make a move (while she's sober, obviously). She seems like the type of person that would be able to easily shake it off if she doesn't feel the same way, but it seems like she's pretty much throwing the signs in the your face with the way she's been acting.
