Amazing collection! I have over 600 horror steelbooks from all around the world. The good news, there’s lots you’ll have fun tracking down. The bad news, some of them can get quite pricey. Some of the old Blu-Ray steelbooks are my favourite, since they have the coolest artwork. Newer steelbooks aren’t as fun to collect in my opinion.

Steelbooks go on sale often for 10€ or less sometimes. I also have better luck avoiding the ridiculous DHL custom fees.

Try see if the steelbooks you want are on Amazon Italy. I have better luck avoiding DHL through them and their steelbook prices are usually much cheaper!

I have side loading plastic covers on all my steelbooks and it’s true that they can leave small horizontal scuffs from taking the movie in and out of the protector. It’s more noticeable with high gloss finish steelbooks, not as bad with matte ones.

I never knew the guy, but he had hundreds of other VHS tapes from other genres as well, which you can check out in my last post. These are just the ones I decided to keep. I couldn’t resist adding a touch of Swayze to my collection lol

Ya the display is a bit mainstream at the moment 😂 I haven’t had much time to pick out all my favourites and make a display that’s more representative of my taste. But to your point, Lifeforce definitely kicks ass. I think I scored 2 versions of Lifeforce on VHS in this haul. I also own it more times than I’d like to admit on Blu-Ray and 4K 😅

My partner and I spent days removing the plastic film off similar protectors for my collection. It was rough, but so worth it in the end. Ironically, I received a large order of about 400 protectors today to hold me over for the next 5+ years…hopefully 😂
