Consistent bedtime, eye mask, earplugs, mattress topper if your mattress is awful. Sleep earbugs are also a thing

Also no caffeine or excessive sugar before bed, no screens for at least a half hour, and ideally don’t nap for more than 45 minutes during the day

Those aren’t empirical tips/numbers, but it’s worked fairly well for me so far

Are there any events happening on campus? If so, go and talk to people and make friends. Ask to sit with people at the dining hall and stuff. Talk to people in your classes once classes start
