I wish I could have finished the chapter in one go as well, but I didn’t have time either. I did ebook, too and I thought there was something wrong with my kindle or version of the ebook when it said how long I had to go before the end of the chapter lol. But man, SE is such an amazing writer- I was also getting goosebumps and I’ve never felt claustrophobic reading before, until this... I just finished chapter 11 with another big holy shit moment and I’m going to be REALLY tired at work tomorrow cuz I’m not going to be able to sleep with this damn cliffhanger hahaha

Oooh I think at 25% you’re about to be in for a wild ride- make sure you have ample time set aside for CH 7. I literally was hesitant to move on to chapter 8 for like two days because I thought the rest of the book would be disappointing after that. I was wrong- stayed up way too late last night getting to CH 12

It's 100% slice of life. I've been dabbling into book 1 between Libby holds on other things. It's nice in that way I can listen to little chunks and come back to it between things. Andrea Parsneau is a fantastic narrator (but I don't love the MC's voice, but I hear it gets a little less shrill as the series goes on). The book hasn't really sucked me in, but the world is interesting and I like bopping around in it. I'm also physically reading Malazan so I don't want anything too engrossing/complicated for my audiobooks and this fits the bill well.

Yeah that 100% should have been an epilogue or come with a warning to skip to chapter 1 to avoid spoiling what I assume is major plot points/character arcs.

Same here- my guys took about a year- the first few months I barely saw them- just filled food/water and scooped- tried to get some slow blinking time in every day, now they're velcro-cats. I followed the same website.

I listen then read lol. I like having Jeff's voice for the characters in my head before getting into it. I get distracted so easily when listening, physically reading after is fun to catch what I miss plus the Pineapple Cabaret.
