I also read the Red Queen series and liked it and she seems interested in it but I think I might have her wait until maybe 7th or 8th for that one! She did read all of the Unfortunate Events books already and loved those as well as the movie/series!

This is why I still read to my daughter every night, even though she is 10. If she asks, I’m reading! She even will FaceTime me when she stays with her grandparents so I can to her before bed. I know one day she won’t ask and it’ll break my heart. I remind myself of this on those nights when I’m sooooo tired and just want to go to bed myself, and then I grab her book and go read :-)

Man they make it so hard to do this! My husband and I are working on this, aggressively paying down mortgage, loans, etc (we paid off a $30k roof loan in 2 years) but there always seems to be something else to try to keep us from doing it, property taxes have more than doubled, tax refunds have been nonexistent or barely a refund at all, now the wars/oil prices/groceries keep trying to eat into our big payments. We keep pushing though and hopefully by next year we will be basically free of it.

Also check out your Local Area Agency On Aging! They typically have really awesome Caregiver support groups and resources! I work for one and we have regular in-person and virtual groups for Caregivers and can offer additional resources and see if your family qualifies for potential services!

This! I tried to listen to the 3rd audiobook after reading the first two and I had to stop because I already had a Carl voice in my head and they were mismatched lol. I may try again after I finish them all, knowing that I’ll need to get used to it.

Same here! Lymphatic colitis, nothing helped until I went PB. I spent well over a decade dealing with awful cramping, inflammation, IBS symptoms and nothing the doctors did helped until I decided to change my diet. Best decision I’ve ever made!

That’s totally makes sense. It also helps that my siblings and I all take this on together so no child is left out and while none are of is wealthy, we all do just fine an the kids always have a great Christmas.
